The Olde North Wrestling Academy varsity club team battled hard and earned a 2nd Place Team Finish at the Battle at the Den hosted by Lionheart Wrestling Club.

A special congratulations to Damian Snyder, who was named the team's Most Outstanding Wrestler (MOW) for his outstanding performance throughout the event.

We are proud of the effort, toughness, and sportsmanship displayed by all of our wrestlers 🫎

1st Annual Varsity Club Dual Meet
Wrestling Tournament

The Lionheart Wrestling Club "Battle at the Den" is this Saturday, June 6th at Schalmont High School!
📍 Location: Schalmont High School, Schenectady, NY
⏰ Weigh-Ins/Skin Checks: 7:30 AM – 8:00 AM
Wrestling Begins: 9:00 AM

Important Reminders for Wrestlers:
✅ Arrive early and be ready to compete.
✅ Bring your singlet, headgear, wrestling shoes, and any required equipment.
✅ If you have a skin condition, an official doctor's skin form is required.
✅Families there is a $5 admission for 13 years and older, cash only for admission and a concession is available!

A huge thank you to Stacy and Jason Spector for sharing their time, experience, and wealth of knowledge with our coaching staff.

Recently, several of our coaches attended a clinic with Jason and Stacy. One of the biggest takeaways was that coaching is about much more than teaching wrestling techniques. Great coaches help young athletes develop confidence, discipline, resilience, accountability, and character.

Wins and losses come and go, but the lessons learned through wrestling can last a lifetime. Together, we’re not just building better athletes, we’re helping develop better people.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this and look forward to more clinics in the future. 🫎

(open to those entering grades 7th-12)

FREE to those competing on the Old North Team. Open to all local schools. (Monday/Thursday practices still require $10 drop in fee)

Junior High and Varsity Team entered.
Wrestle offs for starting spots
Backups will get 3-4 matches

**Olde North members still required to pay membership fees.

Tournament fee, uniforms and campsite cost is $150 per person. (Hudson falls athletes will be granted assistance)
