Camp Sno-Mo

Camp Sno-Mo is Easterseals NH’s overnight camp program for youth with disabilities ages 11 to 21.

Our campers gain courage by exploring new adventures, develop confidence by discovering new abilities, make connections by building friendships, and create treasured memories to last a lifetime. Easterseals NH and the Daniel Webster Council, Boy Scouts of America work together at this nationally-recognized, residential camp program, sponsored by the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association to create a

life-changing experience for campers. Located in Gilmanton Iron Works, NH, children and young adults with disabilities and special needs, ages 11-21, can inclusively participate alongside Boy Scouts in a wide variety of activities including water sports, team sports, hiking, archery, a ropes course and crafts.

Recently, Easterseals NH Major Gifts Officer Kathy Flynn and Camp Sno-Mo Director Chris Ellis attended GLRCA’s annual “Let’s Connect” event, where a check was presented in support of our program. The event brought together dozens of nonprofits dedicated to serving children and families across the Greater Lakes Region.

As a counselor at Easterseals NH’s Camp Sno-Mo, Grace discovered the joy of supporting youth and adult campers with disabilities and a sense of purpose that was “beyond life-changing.”

Whether helping a camper one-on-one or stepping into other roles behind the scenes, Grace approached every responsibility with flexibility, compassion, and heart—always putting the campers first. “Our goal is not to limit what they are able to do. We want them to do all of it,” she said.

These two dedicated overnight sessions for adult campers offer a more relaxed daily schedule with small- and large-group activities that encourage independence and self-direction. Scout programs are not in operation during these sessions.

A huge thank you to our friends at the NH Snowmobile Association (Slednh) for another fantastic Ride-In fundraiser to support Camp Sno-Mo, our overnight camping experience for kids and adults with disabilities!

Thanks to the incredible efforts of NHSA’s local clubs, the Ride-In raised more than $108,000, topping last year’s total by over $3,000! We’re grateful for our partnership with NHSA and their continued commitment to helping us create life-changing experiences for our campers.
