You know we typically post happy and fun stuff…not so much this time. It’s disappointing to see that someone would cause this type of damage and just leave. In checking this out, someone hit this pretty darn hard and did significant and costly stone damage. As a non-profit, the bill to repair this sits with the good folks at Gettysburg Heritage Center, so if anyone has any knowledge of the incident, please reach out.

Here’s something a little different for us! Those of you that have been in the store know that we share a wall with the famous Gettysburg Orphanage. Last week, the team from Black Lantern Paranormal spent the night conducting an investigation. There was quite a bit of activity…words, smells, footsteps, sounds, names, lights and bells were all experienced. You can watch various views and angles of the investigation on the Black Lantern page as well as Christopher Boggs - Mortician, Jason Zielewicz (Gettysburg Ghost Pictures) and Skylar B "ParaKit". It was an interesting experience. Thanks to all involved! 👻👍😁

Check out the interesting project from our friend at Gettysburg Images! 🎩

A close friend of ours, Jim Studnicki, has been working on a project to determine exactly where Abraham Lincoln stood when he gave the Gettysburg Address. He used GPS-based land surveys, old photographs, and math to locate the spot to under a meter. I helped him document some of the measurements and his presentation which will be shared at some point. For now, head to the link below and see what was discovered. Some very cool stuff on this page!
