Georgetown Ridge Farm FFA

Harvest is just around the corner! For many of us, that means cooler days (hopefully), the smell of leaves and pumpkins, and the opportunity to watch equipment hard at work in the fields. For our farmers, however, harvest means long days, short nights, hours spent in tractor cabs, and time away from their families.

To help make harvest a little easier and to show our appreciation for everything they do, Section 18 would like to provide local farmers with supplies they may need during this busy season. We are asking each chapter to donate a minimum of 20 items to help us reach our goal.

Please consider sending supplies with your students. Every donation helps us support the hardworking farmers who do so much for our communities!

Mr. Howard and Mrs. Lambert will both have a donation bin located in their classrooms.

We were pretty busy all week and weren’t able to get as many pictures as we would have liked, but we want to thank everyone who came out and braved the heat to support our students and program!

Fair week is truly a community effort, and we want to extend a special thank you to the fair board and all of the volunteers who make it possible for our small town to host such a wonderful fair each year.

Again, thank you to everyone for your continued support. We hope you enjoy the final night of the Georgetown Fair! 💛💙

Come see us at the Georgetown Fair! 🎪🎡🎠🎢

Starting this Saturday, we’ll be opening our concession stand in the old food building. This is a great opportunity for our members to catch up with one another, interact with our community, and serve some delicious food!

All proceeds go directly to our chapter fund, helping cover the costs of CDEs and other educational experiences for our students throughout the year.

We will be open for lunch service only this year, so whether you’re showing livestock, watching a show, or just looking for a good meal, be sure to stop by and see us!

We are needing volunteers to work the Indianola day celebration on July 25th. Shifts are 1:30-5:30 & 5:30-9:30. We are needing 5 kids per shift and 1 adult chaperone per shift. Please let Mr. Howard know if you are willing to volunteer. 217-264-1556

Bouton graduated from Georgetown Ridge Farm High School in Georgetown, Illinois, in 2021. She is also a graduate of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana, earning a bachelor of science in equine pre-veterinary science in 2024.
