This beautiful bench was donated to raise funds for the kids Christmas party this year. So we are going to auction it off. This bench measures approximately 46 inches long by 26 inches high(from ground to the top of the back). It has been completely refurbished including stainless steel hardware, metal primed and painted with rustoleum, 3 coats oil based polyurethane, mini wax stain (gunstock) and cypress lumber.
SB: $50
Auction will close next Friday June 5th @ 4:00pm.

On 5/25 the Georgetown Fruitland fire department assisted Florida forest service and the St. John’s river water management department with a wildfire adding up to 50 acres there was 3 ffs dozers and 1 from SJRWMD engine 9 brush 9 squad 9 tanker 9
(Woods 10 crescent city)
(Woods 12 tanker 12 Welacka)
All departments assisted with fire containment

On 5/26 St. John’s river water management district had
3 brush trucks
3 utv side by side
2 atv
Tanker 9 brought water supply

4800 gallons of water

🔥BURN BAN EXTENSIONS🔥

Burn bans in Putnam County have been extended for 7 days, through May 19.

Despite recent rains, dry conditions persist. The county remains in a D3 extreme drought, and KBDI is 510.

The only burning allowed is in a grill for preparation of food or with a burn authorization issued through Florida Forest Service.

Burn activities not allowed:
🔥Outdoor burning
🎆Explosive or combustible materials
🚗Parking vehicles with catalytic converters in high grassy areas
🚭Throwing ci******es or matches onto grassy areas

The burn ban in unincorporated Putnam County has been extended through May 12, 2026, when conditions will be reevaluated.

Burn bans are also in place for:
Town of Interlachen through May 12
Town of Pomona Park through May 12

Despite recent rain, the County remains in a D3 extreme drought, and the KBDI for May 5 is 575. The NWS has issued Fire Weather Watches for this week due to low humidity and wind speeds.

UPDATE - APRIL 17, 2026
The Towns of Interlachen and Pomona Park have also enacted burn bans.

Unincorporated Putnam County has issued a burn ban starting Tuesday, April 14, through Tuesday, April 21. On April 21, conditions will be reevaluated.

As of April 14, the entirety of Putnam County is in extreme drought.
The Keetch-Byram Drought Index for the county is 479. KBDI estimates the dryness of the soil and duff layers.
Relative humidity for the week is expected to be low, particularly at the end of the week.
According to the NWS, no precipitation is expected in the next 7 days.

What is not allowed during the burn ban?
🔥Outdoor burning (with exceptions, listed below)
🎆Use of explosive or combustible compounds
🚗Parking vehicles with catalytic converters in high grassy areas
🚭Throwing ci******es or matches

What IS allowed?
🌭Outdoor grills used in preparing food
🌲Activities for which a valid state open burn authorization has been issued by the Florida Forest Service

Decisions on issuing burn bans are a collaborative discussion between the county, Putnam County Fire Rescue, and Florida Forest Service.

🔥BURN BAN EXTENDED FOR UNINCORPORATED PUTNAM COUNTY🔥
February 17, 2026

The temporary burn ban in the unincorporated areas of Putnam County has been extended through February 24, 2026 due to continued dry conditions and elevated wildfire risk. Conditions continue to be evaluated to determine whether the burn ban should be extended again.

Drought conditions remain high, with 87.62% of the county in extreme drought and 12.38% of the county in severe drought.

Residents are reminded that open burning remains prohibited during this period. These precautions are in place to help protect public safety, property, and natural resources throughout the community.

Putnam County appreciates the public’s cooperation as we continue to monitor local fire conditions and prioritize the safety of our residents and first responders.
