We're moving! Here's where we stand toward our $50,000 campaign goal...$3,701

Every dollar brings us closer to unlocking the Bolger Foundation's $25,000 match — and closer to breaking ground on a barn built for every camper and community member.

This is what our animals' home looks like today.

Uncovered. Uneven ground. Hard to reach for campers and community members with mobility challenges.

We're changing that. www.Patronicity.com/ubcanimalbarn

We launched yesterday, and we're on our way! 🎉

Here's why this barn matters: right now, our animals live in outdoor enclosures on uneven terrain — a real barrier for campers and community members who use wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids. This barn removes that barrier for good.
Help us reach our $50,000 campaign goal.

This campaign’s goal is $50,000 towards a goal of $150,000 to break ground on the barn.

We're building a barn! 🐐🦙🐇

Today we're launching a community campaign to build a fully Accessible Animal Barn at camp — a space where every camper and Gates community member can experience our alpacas, goats, chickens, and rabbits, regardless of mobility, weather, or terrain.
We've already secured $21,000 toward our $150,000 Phase 1 goal. Now we're raising $50,000 through this campaign to help close that gap — and unlock a $25,000 match from the Bolger Foundation once we hit $150,000.

From Open Camp to Opening Camp...here we go! This coming weekend we are hosting our final Volunteer Weekend as our summer staff arrivals begin this next week and Leadership Campers come the second week of June! YAY! And, WOW! And, we need the community's help!

Friday & Saturday, May 15th and 16th

10:00am to 3:00pm

Lunch will be prepared and served by our summer cook, Pip.

Work to be done:

You guessed it, putting up tents! But also, building new beds, setting up the furniture in the tents and continued property work.

If you missed the Open Camp event last Saturday this will be an opportunity to see Sandy Land, the new and improved cafeteria and meet Rosa.

Please RSVP so we can be sure to have enough food and drinks: [email protected]
