HIS GREATEST WORK
The greatest work that Jesus did was not when He made the blind to see, the deaf to hear, the dumb to speak, nor even the dead to rise.
The greatest work that Jesus did was not when He taught as One having authority, or when He denounced the Pharisees for their hypocrisy.
His greatest work was achieved in those dark hours on Calvary. Christ’s greatest work was His dying for you and me.

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
1 Peter 2:24

Lord Jesus,
I thank you for the sacrifice you made for us, that we might die to sins and live to righteousness.
Help us to live a life that is pleasing to you, and to always remember the great love you have for us.

THE JOY OF THE LORD
The joy of the Lord is something that cannot be fabricated. It is something that can only be birthed from a deep knowing and intimate relationship with God. When His goodness and love permeate your life so deeply, you can’t help but experience His joy all the time!
There is a supernatural peace and sense of security in knowing Jesus so intimately, because you’ve experienced His love for you and His grace for all of humanity.

And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Nehemiah 8:10b

Heavenly Father,
Forgive me for the times I try to fix everything in my own strength and let worry steal my focus. Your Word reminds me that the joy of the Lord is my strength. When I feel weak or discouraged, lift my eyes to Your goodness. Fill my heart with a deep, supernatural peace that does not depend on my circumstances,
But on your never-ending love.

ANCHORED IN HOPE
An anchor does not stop the storm from tossing the boat; an anchor holds the ship secure to something immovable beneath the waves. When the waves rise high, and you feel like you are drifting into uncertainty, your soul needs to be fastened to the Rock that does not move.
Open your hands in quiet surrender, whispering a simple prayer for just enough grace to carry you through these next twenty-four hours. As long as you are breathing, God is not done. Hope is on the horizon.

We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain.
Hebrews 6:19

Gracious Lord,
I declare that my hope is anchored in you, and I trust in your unfailing love and faithfulness. I pray that you would strengthen my faith and help me to hold fast to this hope, even in the midst of trials and challenges. May this hope be a source of comfort and peace to my soul, knowing that you are with me always.

IT PLEASED THE LORD
On his way to Calvary, Jesus himself had legions of angels at his disposal. “No one takes [my life] from me, but I lay it down of my own accord” (John 10:18)
Jesus may have looked trapped, but he was totally in charge doing precisely what he pleased — dying to glorify his Father in justifying the ungodly, like you and me. We should stand in awe and wonder of our salvation, knowing that Jesus was pleased to die for us.

"Our God is in the heavens;
he does all that he pleases."
Psalm 115: 3

Precious Lord,
When my life feels uncertain or random, remind me that You are still on the throne and working all things according to Your good purpose. I trust in Your supreme wisdom and loving care. Have Your way in my life Lord, in my family, and in my every circumstance.

NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD
God asks the question of whether anything is too difficult for Him. As He asks this question, He also points out that He is the God of all mankind…the Creator.
Don't forget that God is the God of impossibilities. He is the one who can and will make a way for you. If God can create the heavens and the earth and everything in them out of nothing but His word, He can create a way for you to accomplish what is necessary. There is nothing too difficult for God to do.

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?
Jeremiah 32:27

Precious Lord,
I thank you that you are the Lord that knows and sees all. Nothing is hidden from you. I believe You are working all things together for my good, according to Your purpose and plan.

Praises:
Merle- I had a stroke this past Wednesday, and Jesus kept me from being seriously affected.
Anita- God was so good to be in my fall, I could have been more seriously injured.
Carolyn- We had a cookout with our grandsons and it was such a blessing to spend time with them.
Linda- Thank you Jesus! Dr. Whisler is doing much better
Rachel- We got to celebrate my great niece’s first birthday with her yesterday
A few of us went to the Gold City concert last night in Matthews and it was a blessing to spend time together.

Prayer concerns:
Bob- Cancer
Larry- Heart attack
Maple Family- Loss of a loved one

WHO DO YOU SAY HE IS?
If someone were to ask you what Jesus means to you, how would you answer? Could you answer in one word?
Jesus made the question personal. “But what about you?” he asked his disciples. “Who do you say I am?” By God’s grace, Peter got it right. He said, “You, Jesus are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” If we could boil down what Jesus meant to Peter that one word would be, “Savior.”
But if you had to choose just one word, “Savior” says it best. Who do you say Jesus is? By God’s grace, you can confess with Peter: “Jesus is my Savior, the Son of the living God!”

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Matthew 16:15–16

Jesus,
Help me to see you as my Savior, my Redeemer, and my Friend. May I never forget the sacrifice you made for me on the cross and the love you have for me. Strengthen my faith and guide me on the path that you have chosen for me.
