TRAIL UPDATES (Post Storm): Please be aware there are significant areas of washout in the Preserve - creating deep channels and rough zones. Take caution on descents. The trails should dry out in the next few days but are fairly muddy and soft in many areas currently.

Also - reminder that Undercliff is closed M-TH each week until the end of August.

Mossy Brook Rd (from Mohonk Rd) is private property. This area is no longer accessible to cyclists, runners, hikers. Please take note that we have reports of adversarial encounters recently. Please steer clear until we have more details.

🚧 Trailhead Update: Undercliff Carriage Road Closure Begins July 20.

Starting Monday, July 20 through Thursday, August 28, Undercliff Carriage Road will be closed Monday through Thursday for essential resurfacing and drainage improvements.

This project marks the first full resurfacing of this historic carriage road in 30 years, helping preserve its character and ensure safe access for years to come.

Climbing access will remain available.

The East Trapps Connector Trailhead parking lot will be closed Monday through Thursday, from tomorrow July 20 – August 28. Limited parking will be available Friday through Sunday throughout the project.

Trailhead Update: Spring Farm Trailhead — Due to road work, the Town of Marbletown will close Upper 27 Knolls Road on Monday, July 13, 2026. The road will be closed all day.

Warblers Way, Field Mouse, Birder's Loop and Scenic Overlook have all been mowed today. Despite the heavy rain these trails are in good shape at the moment.

Important TRAIL update - Mohonk Preserve Undercliff:

From July 20 through August 28, Undercliff Carriage Road will undergo essential resurfacing and drainage upgrades. This work marks the first full resurfacing of this historic carriage road in 30 years, an essential step in preserving its character and ensuring safe access for years to come.

Undercliff will be closed Monday-Thursday, 6am-3pm to hiking and biking during those dates. The carriage road will reopen Friday - Sunday to all visitors.

TRAIL CLOSURE NOTICE: the River-to-Ridge Trail between the Carmine Liberta Bridge and the trailhead at 41 Springtown Road, including the trailhead and parking area, will be closed to the public from the evening of June 2 through the afternoon of June 4 due to agricultural operations.

For safety, it is essential that the public obey all closure signs and barriers. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and support of the trail.
