What better way to celebrate the life of Marcus on this 5th anniversary of his untimely Murder than to close out our Summer Program with amazing success and record breaking stats. For 16 weeks we have grown attached to the amazing children at the Hilltop Library and while yesterday was our last day – bittersweet – we realized the impact based on their responses and feedback. Our final class concluded with Tanner Cameron as our teacher who is a record-breaking educator in Columbus City Schools. Her approach captivated the students with the question “Is our brain playing tricks on us?” Students enjoyed their meal from Creole to Go; fried chicken wings, Soul Rolls, and Nothing Bundt Cakes. Thanks to the CAM Company for making our Swag for the students to take home for completing our program. Students received backpacks with snacks, goodies, and WWMD Swag.

This has been a tremendous Summer program with 235 students attending our program at least once and 40% of them attending 80% of our classes offered with 16 weeks of classes on Thursdays from the end of May until last night.

We have been blessed to make a positive lasting impression and we feel we owe it to the children to keep our programs moving forward.

We want to say thank you to The City of Columbus, for our grant, thank you to The Columbus Metropolitan Library and the Hilltop Branch Staff for allowing us to have our program, To our amazing teachers and staff, to our supporters. This has been a fantastic ride and we are grateful….STAY TUNED MORE TO COME!!!
