In the Main Street America framework, the Design Committee focuses on enhancing the physical and visual assets of our downtown. Our goal is to create an attractive, safe, and welcoming environment that preserves Galion’s unique character while supporting local business growth.

Many thanks to Galion Kiwanis for volunteering to keep our Uptowne clean! Can you help with cleanup too?

🌿✨ GALION… WE NEED YOU. ✨🌿

This isn’t just a cleanup…
This is OUR town. OUR streets. OUR community.

On April 23rd from 9AM–2PM, we’re coming together for the Galion Kiwanis Uptowne Cleanup and we are asking (okay… borderline BEGGING 😅) for YOU to come help us make a difference.

💚 Whether you’ve got:

5 minutes
30 minutes
or the whole afternoon

👉 WE WANT YOU THERE.

We’ll be:
🌱 Pulling weeds
🧹 Picking up litter
🌸 Planting + mulching
✂️ Trimming things up and making Uptowne SHINE

📍 Meet us at the gazebo
👨‍👩‍👧 Bring your kids, your coworkers, your friends
🧤 Bring tools if you’ve got them (rakes, shovels, brooms!)

Here’s the truth…

This community shows up for each other all the time.

We had a GREAT time at our March Cash Mob yesterday morning! Thank you to McFly Outfitters ( Trading Post) for welcoming us in.

This new store is located right in the Uptowne Square at 101 Harding Way East. Head their way to grab some new women's and men's apparel.

Hours:
Thursdays and Fridays from 1-4pm
Saturdays from 11am-4:30pm

Join us at our next Cash Mob on Saturday, April 5th when we explore another business right here in Uptowne Galion!

What is the Promotions Committee?

Promotions involves marketing the downtown’s unique characteristics to shoppers, investors, new businesses, tourists, and others. Effective promotion creates a positive image of the downtown through retail promotional activity and special events utilizing the downtown as a stage area of community activities.

All interested parties are welcome to join us in our meeting this evening Pub House 123! The Promotions Committee will meet regularly at 6:00pm on the first Thursday of each month.

Thank you to Erica, Community Impact Coordinator with United Way of North Central Ohio, for facilitating a very productive planning session for our board members and volunteers earlier this week.

This meeting was incredibly helpful in getting everyone on the same page, focusing on what we want to see for the future of Uptowne Galion, and making actionable plans on how our organization will help move us toward that future. Keep an eye on our page for updates on when each of our committees will be meeting. We would love to have your input and assistance in our efforts.

We had a great time exploring H.R. Wolf Hardware at our Cash Mob this past Saturday!

The owners and employees are so knowledgeable and helpful, and the store's atmosphere is welcoming and cozy. Be sure to stop by their shop for your next home renovation project, all your candle needs, and of course, for all the knitting and cross stitch supplies you could want 🛠️🧶
