We are truly without words for the loss of our friend, John Walker
The Walkers have been part of the Journey to Bethlehem from the very beginning. Whether he was playing the part of a guard, standing in as a wiseman, helping the kids stamp leather, passing out flyers at the parade, or driving the truck pulling our float—John was always there.
He might’ve been running late and making Kim lose her mind (she was always saying, “I don’t know where my brother is”), but him and Samantha always showed up. And that’s what matters… they showed up.
My guess is the reason he was always late was because he was talking to someone—anyone, everyone. John was one of those people who never met a stranger, and he made you feel like you had known him your entire life. He was never in a hurry when he was talking to you. You and your conversation were important to him.
Now it’s our turn as a community to show up for his family.
If you’re able, please consider supporting the family through the GoFundMe. Every bit helps and means more than words can say.
Most importantly, please keep the entire Walker family in your prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Journey to Bethlehem – A Community Impact Recap

Despite the snow and cold, around 300 people walked through the Journey to Bethlehem last weekend—an incredible testament to the heart of our community.

Through booth rentals, we collected $300, which was donated directly to Heartbeat of Morrow County.
In addition, we collected over $2,100 in raffle money and cash donations, along with a large box of hats, gloves, and scarves, six new girls’ winter coats, and meat bundles.
All of these donations will be distributed by the Morrow County Sheriffs Office, Mt. Gilead Ohio to those in need within our community.

Meat Bundle Winners

Beef: Amanda Thacker
Chicken: Ashlynn Meadows

We are beyond grateful for everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, and supported this event. Because of you, the Journey to Bethlehem was not only a meaningful experience—but a true blessing to our community. ❤️

“The streets may be quiet now, but hope once entered the world here. In the stillness, God wrote the greatest love story ever told.
There is something holy about the stillness—when the noise fades, faith speaks loudest.”

“The streets of Bethlehem rest in quiet stillness… but as the sun sets, the city will come alive once more. From 4:00–7:00 tonight, bundle up, brave the cold, and step into the sacred night that changed the world forever—the night our Savior was born.
‘For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given.’ — Isaiah 9:6 ✨🌟”
