Reminder: Feeder Calf Weigh-In will take place June 6th from 7:00–11:00 a.m. in the Large Show Arena.

This weigh-in is mandatory for all Market Beef Feeder, Dairy Feeder, and Dual Dairy Feeder Calves wanting to show in the 2026 Morrow County Jr. Fair.

Last week our FFA chapter hosted Elementary Ag Day where we taught our elementary students about FFA and the importance of agriculture in our everyday lives! 🌽🐐🐇🐄🐥

Students enjoyed meeting President Fletcher’s goats, Vice President Kallie’s rabbits, Treasurer Janey’s dairy feeder calf, and seeing the chicks our FFA members hatched out in the classroom.

They also learned about corn production, discovered that Ohio is one of the top corn producing states, and even learned that popcorn is an agricultural product while enjoying some fresh popcorn! 🍿

The day also included ag relay races, games, and lots of hands-on learning and fun. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a great day for our younger students!

We had another great day at the 98th Ohio FFA Convention & Expo! 💙💛

We started the morning during the 4th session by cheering on Elizabeth for earning Gold Rated Secretary, Kallie for earning Gold Rated Treasurer, and Ella for earning Gold Rated Reporter.

In the afternoon, Ella A. represented our chapter as a Top 10 finalist in the Talent Showcase, performing “Mama I’m Coming Home” by Ozzy Osbourne.

We ended the day at 5th Session A, where we heard Ohio FFA President Carter Boyd’s retiring address. He shared the powerful message to not be afraid to stand out and embrace what makes you outstanding. We all get lost at times, but we are all worthy of finding our way home.

We then cheered on Kayla as she performed in the State FFA Band and celebrated eight of our members officially receiving their State FFA Degrees: Natalee, Kendal, Fletcher, Sophia, Liv, Aly, Elizabeth, and Kallie.

We had a great Day 1 at the 98th Ohio FFA Convention & Expo! 💙💛

We started the morning with our chapter being recognized during the 1st session for participating in the Chapter Trust Program through donations to the Ohio FFA Foundation. We were also honored for our charitable giving efforts after donating more than $500 over the past year.

We enjoyed hearing from keynote speaker Brad Hurtig, who shared his inspiring story of becoming a double amputee in high school and overcoming adversity. His message reminded us that every person faces adversity, you can do hard things, and if you look for good things in life, you’ll see more good things.

Dane and Kendal proudly represented our chapter at the Delegate Session, where they voted on the ballot for next year’s Ohio FFA State Officer Team.

We ended the day during the 2nd session by cheering on Kallie for her 4th place finish in the State Diversified Livestock Proficiency Award area. We also enjoyed keynote speaker Jason Hewlett and his entertaining message, The Promise, which included comedy and music impressions while encouraging students to identify, clarify, and magnify their signature moves.

What a successful first day, and we’re excited for more to come tomorrow!
