Northeast Georgia Writers Established in 1973, NEGAW was created as a fellowship for writers, both published and unpublished.

It is the group’s intent to provide opportunity for members to develop their writing skills within a supportive environment.

Co-President Phyllis Wintter presents our April speaker Isaac Hopkins with a copy of our anthology Writers Unblocked. Isaac spoke on the importance of timing in plays and novels and how changing the order of certain scenes could add tension and increase reader involvement. His play, Jimmy! A Musical Fable with Almost No Historical Basis (based on a 1969 article of Jimmy Carter seeing a UFO) was performed off-Broadway in the Brooklyn Arts District. Welcome back to GA, Isaac!
