Community performance and ice cream social is today. 5pm, Fruitport High School. Come see the last performance ever of our 2025 production!

Please join us for one last performance! Our community show will be Saturday, May 3rd at 5:00pm at Fruitport High School. This is the perfect opportunity to see the show, take photos and learn more about the program and the instruments you see on the floor.

4:30pm: doors open, come find a seat in the big gym!
5:00pm: show starts!
-Introductions
-Team photo in uniform
- Opportunity to come down on the floor at take pictures with your member in uniform.
-Ice cream! Students will be dismissed AFTER everything has been put away and cleaned up.

This is a free event, but if youd like to contribute to the group, donations can be made in person OR Venmo. If you’d like a specific team member to recieve credit for your donation please include their name in the comment of the transaction.

We now have the FULL SHOW on the floor! Come see us this weekend the 22nd at Kent City, the 29th at Grandville or the 6th at State Finals! So excited to get into the think of this Michigan Alliance for Performing Arts and WGI Sport of the Arts competition season!

2025 Breakwater Performing Arts Show Announcement!

In preparation for WGI World Finals, we will be having a parent and member meeting after rehearsal Sunday, March 16 at 5pm. This is optional as all information will be handed out to students, but it is your opportunity to ask questions and get answers. The logistical schedule, emergency contacts, and student guidelines will be available at that time, as well as van, room and chaperone assignments. We will meet in the Auxiliary Gym at Fruitport High School. It is HIGHLY recommended you show up at 4:40pm to catch our last run through of the show before the meeting!

Due to WGI promoting our good friends at Hudsonville High School (congrats guys!), the performance times for prelims have changed. Our NEW schedule is as follows:

6:30am: Arrive at Fruitport High and load truck.
7:30am: Depart for show site,
Lakeland High School
1630 Bogie Lake Rd
White Lake, MI 48383
10:45am: Arrive at show site
12:41am: Prelims Performance
7-7:40pm: Finals Performance (TBA)
9:30pm: Awards
10:30pm: Depart Lakeland High.
1:30am: Arrive Home

For Saturday, February 22, here is our abbreviated schedule. Members recieved a detailed one earlier in the week.

We still need a few people to help move equipment and a volunteer to drive our large box truck. You will receive a wristband to get into the show for free if you choose to volunteer! Message Nicholas Lootens if interested!

Due to last nights snow, we will be on a 1 hour delay this morning to give members additional time to get in safely. Rehearsal begins at 10am

Yesterday, for the first time, a shooting took place at an indoor percussion event at Pasadena Memorial High School, TX. Thankfully there was no loss of life. This is small community and we’ve been in contact with friends and educators at the show. All are safe.

There is room for students of every kind in the marching arts. We respect all. We welcome all. But there is no room for hate and no room for violence. Member safety will always be ours, Michigan Alliance for Performing Arts and WGI Sport of the Arts first priority.

Our hearts go out to the Angleton ISD program who have a staff member hospitalized after the incident and to the Pasadena Memorial programs who didn’t deserve to have a celebration of hard work and achievement ruined by hateful act.

A person was shot and another was arrested after shots were fired during a band competition at Pasadena Memorial High School on Saturday, police said.
