🌈 Lakeshore GSA Youth Group — Your Safe Space EVERY Sunday Night! 🌈

You (and your kid) don’t have to walk it alone. The Lakeshore GSA (Gender | Sexuality | Allies) is more than a youth group — it’s a safe, affirming place where you can be yourself, make friends, and explore your identity in community.

Here’s who we are & what we do:
• Though we are primarily a secular gathering, we are hosted by the first congregation in Grand Haven who became fully affirming over twenty years ago— serving LGBTQIA+ youth who may not find acceptance elsewhere.
• We meet every Sunday at 7:00 pm, downstairs in our GSA Youth Room — a cozy space with bean bags, snacks, games, and occasional movie nights.
• Meetings rotate: sometimes it’s just hanging out and fun; sometimes we bring in professionals to lead meaningful discussions (mental health, identity, “It Gets Better,” etc.); and sometimes we go out for field trips or engage in community justice/service projects.
• No matter where you go (or if you go) to church on Sundays, this is a safe place for you on Sundays at 7:00pm."

Earlier this year, Father Jared Cramer from our hosting congregation St. John's Episcopal Church, Grand Haven, MI shared a one hour teaching with the parents and kids, digging deeply into these important questions.
