Lullaby of the Rivers and the Stetson Kennedy foundation are proud to present Joe Mark in concert at our monthly Second Sundays at Stetson’s concert series on November 8th at Beluthahatchee Park in Fruit Cove. Showtime is 2pm. Joe has been a featured performer at the annual Florida Folk Festival for more than fifty years and delights his audience with guitar, fiddle, and wonderful song writing.

For many families struggling to make ends meet, there's one heartbreaking choice that rarely gets talked about.

Feed yourself, or feed your pet.

Some people skip meals so their dog or cat can eat. Others are forced to give up animals they love simply because they can't afford food anymore.

Now, New York City is trying to change that.

The city has announced it will provide free pet food at 22 food pantries across all five boroughs. The program is backed by $500,000 in city funding, with the first deliveries expected to reach pantries within weeks.

People who already rely on food pantries will be able to pick up food for their pets at the same time they get food for themselves.

"No New Yorker should have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their pets," Mayor Zohran Mamdani said.

Food banks say the need is real. Some pantry visitors have even been bringing their pets along with them because they've had nothing to feed them at home.

Animal advocates believe the program could also help keep pets out of shelters. When families hit hard times, pets are often among the first to be surrendered.

For many people, a dog or cat isn't just an animal. It's family, comfort, and sometimes the only companion they have.

And no one should have to give that up just to get through a hard month 💛

Over the River and through the woods to Palatka for this event 🎶❤️🌎🕊️

Harvest Fest weekend is almost here, and we’ve got two days of music, art, and plenty to explore in Palatka!

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23 | THE PRE-PARTY

We’re starting things off at Petey’s in Palatka with Jesse Sawyer, Front Porch Marmalade, and special guests from 7–10 PM.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24 | HARVEST FEST 2026

Head down to the Palatka Riverfront Amphitheater from 11 AM–5 PM for a full day of folk, bluegrass, Americana, and acoustic roots music.

Catch live mural painting and chalk art along the Arts Promenade, browse local artists and vendors, grab something from the food trucks, and bring the kids for the Instrument Petting Zoo, Kids Zone, and Come Jam Tent.

Admission is FREE!
