Elks Care, Elks Share
Elks Lodges bring so much more to their communities than just a building, golf course or pool. Elks invest in their communities through programs that help children grow up healthy and drug-free, by undertaking projects that address unmet needs, and by honoring the service and sacrifice of our veterans. Featured Programs:
Children and Families:

• Florida Elks Children’s The

rapy Services - provide in home Physical and Occupational Therapy to Florida children regardless of the families ability to pay for such services.
• Florida Elks Youth Camp – a 400 acre camp situated in Central Florida and available year round for young people to come and enjoy nature. The camp hosts approximately 20,000 campers a year.
• The Elks Drug Awareness Program – distributes literature and organizes events to make kids and their parents aware of the dangers posed by alcohol, to***co and illegal drugs.
• Hoop Shoot – The yearly Elks Hoop Shoot Free Throw Program is open to all boys and girls ages 8 through 13. The contest starts at the lodge level and advances through the national finals in the spring.
• Soccer Shoot – This program is the kind of sporting event to help keep our youth focused and away from undesirable activities.
• Junior Elks Program called “the Antlers” – It is a chance for young people in our communities to get involved with the ELKS in the many service-related projects our Lodges sponsor. Veterans Services: Our pledge: “So long as there are veterans, the Benevolent and Protected Order of Elks will never forget them.”

• In each of the 172 VA Medical Centers nationwide there is an Elk committee at work. Since 1917, hundreds of thousands of Elks and their families have given generously of their time, energy and resources so that the lives of our ill and aging veterans will be enhanced.
• Army of Hope – assists the families of Military Reservists and the National Guard who have been called to active duty during these times of crisis.
• Adopt-a-Veteran Program – the object of this program is to take the place of family, to replace loneliness with hop and to let the veterans know we will never forget them.
