Community Pantry Restock this Saturday!

The pantry is located at the Community Center, and donations can be dropped off at Fries Town Market at the Depot this Saturday from 9 AM–1 PM. There will be a designated box beside the town table.

If you’re coming to the market, consider bringing an extra item to help with keeping the shelves stocked for our neighbors.

Kick off the weekend at the The Historic Fries Theatre with Jam at 7 PM!

🛍️ SATURDAY | 9 AM–1 PM
Fries Town Market at the Fries Depot
Come shop local, visit with neighbors, grab something good to eat, and enjoy the morning by the river!

🏍️ SATURDAY | 12 PM
Bike Fest at Windy River Café
Bring the bikes and enjoy a morning in town!

🚲 New River Trail has all the info!
Walk, ride, explore, and take in the beautiful scenery along the trail. New River Outdoor Adventures has all your rental equipment needs!

🌊 New River Trail State Park - Public River Access
Bring a chair, cast a line, paddle, or simply find a quiet spot and enjoy the water.

🏡 STAY AWHILE
Make a weekend of it! Stay at the The Historic Washington Inn or one of our local Airbnb stays and wake up right here in the heart of Fries.

🌸 Many hands make light work! 🌸

A big thank you to everyone who came out today to pitch in at the fountain! A special thank you to Mary Anne, Jan, Scout, and Joe for giving their time and lending a hand. 💛

The fountain was weeded, Joe got it running, and chemicals were added to help clear up the water.

It was a great start, and there’s more to come! Next up… flowers! 🌼

Watch for a post later this week with details on joining us next Saturday for the fountain project!

🤩 Looking to volunteer in town before then? Monday at 11am more volunteers are going to work on the Town of Fries flower bed area as you come in to town above the dam. Join us! 🤩
