The Prettyboy PTA is comprised of Prettyboy parents, school administrators and teachers who work together to provide an atmosphere conducive to learning. The PTA sponsors activities that complement the curriculum, bring Prettyboy families together and are just plain fun. The Maryland PTA coordinates its efforts at the state level to influence legislation and policy to benefit all Maryland schoolch
ildren, including our children at Prettyboy. The Maryland PTA is focused on educational issues throughout our state and nation. As such, it serves as a liaison between the decision-makers and the schools. It disseminates information about the ever-changing educational system to the local PTAs while relaying feedback about the students, schools, and communities to those who establish school policies and curricula. What began as the National Congress of Mothers in 1897 has grown and developed into the National PTA. The
National PTA is a powerful volunteer organization working for the education, health and safety of all children.
