Variety International CEO, Caylen Santos, joined BBC Radio Jersey this weekend to reflect on an incredible milestone - half a century of life-changing work by the Ladies of Variety! 🇯🇪💛

To mark the occasion, a beautiful 50th-anniversary reception was hosted at Government House by His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor and Lady Kyd.
In the interview, Caylen discussed the profound legacy of the Jersey Tent and how the power of community continues to shape futures for children today. ❤

Variety Tasmania has been encouraging people to donate quality pre-loved books, puzzles, games and DVDs across the state. The donated items are then sorted and resold at affordable prices at the Variety Monster Book Fair, helping local families access low-cost entertainment, while keeping thousands of items in circulation and out of landfill.♻️📚

The 2026 Variety Monster Book Fair will be held in July and will feature family-friendly entertainment including bubbles, balloons, costumed characters, a petting zoo and more. 🌈

Funds raised through the Book Fair help support children and families across Tasmania, providing practical assistance, equipment, programs and opportunities for kids who are living with disability, illness or disadvantage. ❤️

The One Ball for All initiative has officially launched! ⚽

Pilot activation’s are kicking off across five Variety Tents: Southern California, Kansas City, Texas, Georgia, and British Columbia.

Timed alongside the excitement building around the upcoming World Cup, the program is designed to bring communities together through sport and inclusive play while creating meaningful local engagement opportunities for participating Tents. 🌎🌟

🏊‍♀️ We’re proud to announce that Paralympic swimmer, Poppy Wilson, has joined the Variety International Global Ambassador Program! 🌟

Living with cerebral palsy, Poppy has never let barriers stand in the way of her dreams. With the support of Variety, she was able to represent Australia internationally and achieve her lifelong dream of competing at the Paris 2024 Paralympics. 🇦🇺

Poppy first connected with Variety Queensland through a grant that helped ease the financial pressure of elite sport, supporting her to achieve her dreams! 💛

Now, she’s joining Variety International to help create a more inclusive world for children with disabilities everywhere. Poppy said: “Variety holds such a special place in my heart. Without their support, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

🐣 Easter Joy at the Zoo! Variety - the Children’s Charity SA’s Easter Picnic brought together over 1,500 children for a wonderful day out at the Adelaide Zoo.

The event created a space where every child felt included and part of the community. From a surprise Easter Bunny visit to exploring the zoo, the day was filled with joy!🐰Families also enjoyed a sausage sizzle from the Rotary Club Unley & Campbeltown, plus snack packs and Easter eggs donated by Woolworths.

A heartfelt thank you to the Variety in Action committee, a dedicated group of volunteers who generously give their time and expertise to create meaningful experiences for South Australian kids in need. 💛

🚲 Wheel-y Amazing Moments... At the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, 100 children received bikes through Variety - the Children's Charity of Victoria’s Bikes for Kids initiative!

There were helmets being fitted, handlebars gripped tightly, and big smiles! Then came the moment every child waited for: ‘this bike is mine!’

This program opens up a world of possibilities for children, building their confidence and giving them the chance to belong. A huge thank you to partners, volunteers, and supporters who helped make this event possible! ❤️

🏀 We’re proud to announce that Paralympic wheelchair basketball champion, Jeromie Meyer, has joined Variety International as our newest Global Ambassador! 🌟

After a life-changing accident at age nine, Jeromie discovered the power of adaptive sports. He then went on to represent Team USA and compete at the Paris 2024 Paralympics 🇺🇸

Jeromie is now joining Variety to help break down barriers and create more opportunities for children with disabilities worldwide 💛

Variety the Children's Charity of Great Britain has just delivered a brand-new Sunshine Coach to the Streatham Youth and Community Trust in London 🚐✨.

This specially equipped vehicle will provide safe, accessible transport and will connect children to educational activities and new opportunities. For many, this means greater independence and the chance to fully participate in their community. It’s more than just transport - it’s a pathway to inclusion. 💛

Thanks to incredible supporters, Variety continues to break down barriers and help kids go further than ever before! 🌈
