KDC’s Plymouth Early Intervention team hosted a spooktacular trunk or treat event for families to enjoy! It was filled with tons of free activities, creatively decorated trunks, and of course, plenty of opportunities to connect with others in the community.

Every child deserves a supportive environment where they can grow and thrive.

Through Intensive Foster Care, KDC partners with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families to support children and youth from birth to age 22 with a wide variety of needs.

Becoming a foster parent doesn’t require prior experience, nor does it have to be overwhelming! KDC guides prospective foster parents through the required training and certifications and provides ongoing support, including weekly visits from a KDC social worker, respite care, and 24/7 emergency assistance.

💃🏻 It’s almost time for KDC’s Cape Cod Family Support program participants to walk the runway! 🕺🏼

Join us at the Yarmouth Senior Center THIS Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM for an afternoon filled with fashion!

Our participants are so excited to show off their favorite looks, courage, and confidence while being surrounded by the support of family, friends, and the community!

Costumes, creativity, and plenty of Halloween fun! 🎃👻

KDC’s New Bedford Early Intervention team brought families together for a Halloween party filled with festive activities and fun treats!

From decorating trick-or-treat bags and posing at the photo station, to pumpkin tossing, ghost bowling, Halloween chalk drawing, and music & dancing, there was something for everyone to enjoy!

We love seeing families come together to share experiences, make memories, and enjoy time together. Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration a fun part of the season.

We’re incredibly grateful to SkyHope for partnering with KDC to help expand access to Early Intervention services for children and families on the Cape.

Providing services to families on the Cape sometimes comes with unique transportation and logistical barriers.

Through this partnership, SkyHope helps KDC clinicians reach these communities more efficiently, reducing travel-related costs and allowing us to direct more resources toward service delivery.

The partnership also gives KDC an additional resource to share with families, connecting them with transportation options they can also access for their own medical appointments beyond Early Intervention.

With this increased capacity, KDC can reach more children and families while helping reduce delays in accessing Early Intervention services.

This is a meaningful example of how creative community collaboration can address regional barriers. By working together, KDC and SkyHope are finding practical ways to improve access to care and support children and families, regardless of where they live.

Thank you to SkyHope for working with us to strengthen access to care for those we support across Cape Cod and the Islands. 💙
