It's like getting invited into the cool kids club, except the cool kids are the people actually doing the work, planning the events, hauling the stuff, solving the problems, and making our community better.

Watching an idea become an event has been a master class in hard work, teamwork, and "wait... how many moving parts are there?" 🤣

Peanut butter and jelly on a river board just hits differently 🪵

It's still a PB&J... but suddenly you're serving it like it belongs on the menu of a rustic lakeside café.

We have restocked at Living Roots Farm 🪵

Not only do they have new hours, but there is now a maple burl board with a juice groove sitting there waiting to become someone's entire personality.

Thursday & Friday: 11am–6pm
Saturday: 10am–2pm

Go for the farm store. Stay because you're standing there whispering, "wow, look at that grain" while rubbing a cutting board like a weirdo.

No judgment. We'd do the same.

Grandpa picked up Callisto Sourdough Co. on Saturday and honestly this loaf looked so beautiful we all stood around acting like we were in a museum instead of a kitchen.

But eventually the intrusive thoughts won. We threw it on a Pmels board and cut into it like a bunch of carb-fueled savages.

And let me tell you… not only did the entire loaf disappear at alarming speed, but somehow even the leftover crumbs on the wood looked artisanal and emotionally expensive.

Everything looks better on wood. Even your lack of self-control 😂

ALL ABOARD… these beauties are officially leaving Fox Lake and heading to Arkansas 😂🪵

This customer said “yes” to TWO juice groove boards because apparently one containment system for meat juice and cracker crumbs was simply not enough for the lifestyle they are building.

Also headed out? A trivet that doubles as a flight board because we fully support snacks and beverages becoming a coordinated event.

And of course a good old fashioned cutting board that can swing between charcuterie masterpiece and “I just cut up a block of cheese standing over the sink” energy.

Everybody knows wood just hits different. Suddenly people come over and you start saying things like “let me plate this properly” while aggressively placing pickles on handcrafted walnut 😂

While I sit here aggressively romanticizing a danish on a PmelsGems board next to an entire pot of coffee 😂☕🥐🪵

Because apparently all it takes is sunshine, carbs, and handcrafted wood for me to believe I have my life completely together this morning.

Honestly this board made that danish look emotionally important.

Starting Memorial Day weekend, the only way we know how… pulling out ALL the wood 😂🪵

3D bacon board happening, biscuits headed onto a river board, and the kitchen slowly turning into a combination bakery and lumberyard.

But honestly the best part of today was watching my Mom spend time with her best friend of 62 years. Some things really are priceless ❤️

Preparing for Arts & Crafts in the Park during McHenry's Fiesta Days and apparently we are now a full-time juice groove company 😂🪵

At first it was “oh those are nice.” Now it’s “DO YOU HAVE ONE WITH A JUICE GROOVE?!” like people are preparing for the juiciest summer of their lives.

Crumbs? Contained.
Steak juice? Captured.
Watermelon leakage? Controlled.
Emotional support charcuterie? Protected.

Honestly the groove is having its main moment and we’re just here making sawdust about it.
