We also encourage all residents to take additional precautions to enhance the safety of our community:
· Secure Your Vehicles: Ensure that your vehicles are locked when not in use, and do not leave any valuable items visible inside.
· Exterior Lighting: Keep your property well-lit, as this can deter criminal activity.
· Neighborhood Watch: Be vigilant and watch out for any suspicious persons or activity. If you notice anything unusual, please report it to the local authorities.
· Community Cooperation: We believe that through cooperation and communication, we can maintain a safe and secure community for all residents. We are committed to keeping you informed about developments in this case.
· Surveillance Camera Systems: We encourage you to install surveillance cameras to monitor activity around your home and the surrounding area.
o If you have cameras, please consider expanding the motion zone to capture surrounding areas adjacent to your home or parking space. You’re also encouraged to keep up with the maintenance on them because if they’re not fully operational, they’re not of benefit to your safety. If you experience challenges keeping your camera battery charged, consider utilizing solar power sources as an alternative (e.g. Solar Charger)
o If you don’t have surveillance cameras, we encourage you to obtain them for safety reasons. If you need assistance obtaining surveillance cameras, they may be provided free of charge through the 2025 District 8 Jayz Agnew Camera Program.
