The time has come for another FREE Women's Self Defense class! This is a R**e Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) class brought to you by the Maryland National Capital Park Police and coordinated by Fort Washington Forum.

If you were unable to take the class in 2024 or 2025, now is your chance! If you have already taken this class in '24 and '25 please do not sign up again but please help me spread the word! Together we can get more women aware, empowered, and skilled in our community!

If you are free for ALL five classes, sign up ASAP! Classes are first come, first serve. Once you complete the sign up form, be sure to check your email to confirm registration which is REQUIRED. There is more information on the sign up page (link in comments). Please read carefully and check your calendar first! I aim to confirm registrations within 1-2 days within submission.

Feel free to spread the word to other women in your family, neighborhood, and local community. This class is appropriate for tween girls all the way up to seniors, and in fact, it is highly recommend it for them! Comment if you have any questions!

Signup is now OPEN for FREE women's self defense classes right here in Fort Washington! The Founder of Neighbors for Fort Washington Commercial Development (NFWCD) is coordinating this class to reduce crime and encourage personal responsibility. Let's get more women in our community R.A.D. Certified and reaching a new level of empowerment!

DETAILS:
Empower yourselves and learn realistic self defense tactics and techniques for FREE along with fellow women in the Fort Washington Maryland community. The R.A.D. (R**e Aggression Defense) System course subject matter includes awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, as well as basic, hands-on defense training. Female seniors, youth, and all fitness levels are welcome. Bring your children, grandmothers, teachers, sisters, cousins, etc. Thanks to Maryland-National Capital Park Police, this program is FREE to residents and Neighbors for Fort Washington Commercial Development (NFWCD) is putting together a group of approximately 15 women to take this class. Hopefully we will have more classes available to the community in the future too.

WHEN: Every Thursday 6PM - 9PM
March 21 - April 18th, 2024
5 Thursdays in a row - MUST attend all 5 classes

ATTN FEMALES: Empower yourselves and learn realistic self defense tactics and techniques for FREE along with fellow women in the Fort Washington Maryland community. The R.A.D. (R**e Aggression Defense) System course subject matter includes awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, as well as basic, hands-on defense training. Thanks to the Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation this program is FREE to residents and Neighbors for Fort Washington Commercial Development (NFWCD) is putting together a group of 15 women to take a class in early 2024.

PLEASE TAKE THE LINKED SURVEY to let me know which time frame works better for you. Classes are weekly, for 5 weeks and likely be at Harmony Hall from approximately 6PM - 9PM. Details will be TBD upon this survey making its way around the community. Female seniors, youth, and all fitness levels are welcome. Bring your children, grandmothers, teachers, sisters, cousins, etc.

We are seeking the public’s help in finding a missing girl. She is identified as 14-year-old Maritza Mejia Dominguez. She was last seen in the 9700 block of Old Allentown Road in the early morning of October 26, 2021.

Mejia Dominguez is described as a Hispanic female, 5’1” tall and 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a blue shirt, khaki pants, and white shoes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Fort Washington Investigation at (301) 292-5386.
