The Good Dog Rescue Our purpose is to save dogs from high kill shelters, place them into loving foster homes, do all needed vetting and training, and find the perfect adopters.

We provide post-adoption support, and volunteer with petfood banks & low cost spay/neuter clinics Our Vision is to reduce companion animal homelessness through establishing a network within rescues and shelters; supporting the community to keep pets in their homes; reducing the number of unwanted animals with spay/neuter services; and strengthening the human-animal bond through education & outreach programs.

Looking for a fun way to get out with your dog, practice your leash skills, and meet some fellow dog lovers? Come walk with us! 🐕🚶‍♂️

Our group walks are about more than just exercise. They’re an opportunity to:
🐾 Practice leash skills in a real-world setting
🐾 Help your dog build confidence and learn to navigate the world around other dogs
🐾 Meet cool people and chat all things dogs
🐾 Get some fresh air, exercise, and quality time with your best friend!

And the best part? You’ll be joined by a professional dog trainer who can offer guidance, answer questions, and help you and your dog have the best possible experience in a group setting.

Whether you’re working on loose-leash walking, building your dog’s focus around distractions, or simply looking for a fun way to spend time with your pup, we’d love to have you join us!

🌸 Meet Dora! 🌸

Hello, my name is Dora. It is nice to meet you. Like me, are you looking for a long-term relationship? Let’s explore and see if we’re a good match!

I’m a happy young girl who gets along with dogs and people. Some of my interests are going for walks, playing with other dogs, self entertaining with toys and learning new things. I’m not reactive on walks and am starting to walk well on a loose leash. I love playing with toys and my foster mom says I’m very entertaining with some of my antics. I’m learning lots of commands, but they’re all new to me so I will need someone continuing to reinforce my good behavior. I have very good recall. I will stop at the corners and sit…look at me and touch are a couple of my other favorites. I’ve only had one accident, and that was when my mom didn’t understand what I meant when I went to the door.

I love doing zoomies in the yard and would enjoy somewhere to stretch my legs and a playful companion in my life.

We are so grateful to be part of the Max and Neo rescue giving program! About once a quarter, we receive these amazing boxes full of the things we use the most - collars, leashes, toys and treats! If you havent used their collars and leashes before, they are really high quality and last forever! (my foster fail CJ has worn his everyday for 4 years!)
When you purchase items from them, they donate 1 to 1 to rescues - thats a pretty solid business model as far as we are concerned!

Hi there! My name is Jett, and I’m a 8-month-old, neutered black Lab mix with a sleek coat, a heart full of hope, and so much love just waiting to be given.Growing up in a shelter means I haven't seen much of the big, wide world yet. Because of that, I can get a little scared and worried when meeting new people for the first time. But if you give me just a moment to realize I'm safe, you’ll get to see my absolute favorite party trick—I flash an adorable, goofy smile whenever I get super excited!

Here is what my dream forever home looks like:An Active Family: I’ve got that classic puppy energy! I would love a family that will take me on hikes, teach me to fetch, and keep my mind and body moving. A Confident Dog Sibling: I do best when I have a confident, friendly playmate to look up to. Having a canine brother or sister will help show me the ropes and teach me that the world isn’t so scary after all.Patience and Guidance: I’m already kennel trained, which is a huge plus! Our Adoptable buddy Logan will be attending the Park Hill Street Fair with his foster mom on Sunday! If you're at the event stop by and say hi! If you've been wanting to meet him, this is the perfect opportunity!

Logan is about 7 months old, 30ish pounds and we think he's a lab border collie mix. Great with other dogs, should probably be adopted into a home with a social confident pup!

There will be food and drink, live music, adoptable pups, good times, and all the proceeds go towards the groups working on saving Sloan's lake!
