🇺🇸🎉 Ride Along with Gibson County 4-H to Celebrate the 250th! 🎉🇺🇸

Gibson County 4-H is excited to be part of the community celebration as we honor America's 250th Anniversary!

We invite all Gibson County 4-H members to join us as we proudly ride on the Gibson County 4-H float during the parade. This is a great opportunity to show your 4-H spirit, celebrate our country’s history, and represent the positive impact of 4-H in our community!

🎈 Help us showcase what makes Gibson County 4-H shine!

Skip the hassle of arranging transportation—let us handle the hauling and processing for you!

We will have a trailer at the fairgrounds on Thursday, July 9th to pick up any cattle, hogs, goats, or sheep for processing.

Dewig Meats has proudly supported the Gibson County Fair for over 50 years as both a buyer and community partner. Over the years, we've purchased numerous Grand Champion and Reserve Champion cattle, hogs, sheep, goats, rabbits, and chickens.

We are pleased to offer this livestock hauling service in partnership with Cody Pate of Pate Livestock, helping make the process easier for local 4-H families.

Emily Stevenson, daughter of Michael and Amy Stevenson, is a proud 10-year member of Gibson County 4-H and the Star Riders 4-H Club. Throughout her 4-H journey, Emily has developed valuable life skills, lasting friendships, and a strong sense of responsibility.

A graduate of Gibson Southern High School, Emily plans to attend the University of Southern Indiana this fall to earn her Associate of Science degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA). After beginning her career as an OTA, she also hopes to attend nail school and earn her Nail Technician license so she can paint nails on the side.

Emily shares that one of the most important things she learned from 4-H is the importance of time management, not only for completing projects but also for handling everyday responsibilities and future career goals. She especially enjoyed spending the entire week at the fair each year and attending the Indiana State Fair to see how her projects placed.

Her most memorable 4-H moment was helping throw chalk at participants during a 5K fundraiser at the fairgrounds when she was younger. She fondly remembers covering herself in the leftover colors after everyone had gone through, making it a fun and unforgettable experience.

Emily’s 10-year 4-H journey reflects dedication, creativity, and growth, preparing her for an exciting future filled with opportunity and success.

Get ready to team up, think fast, and capture the fun because the 2026 Fair Photo Scavenger Hunt is coming back to the fairgrounds! 🚜🐄🎠

We're using Goosechase again this year, which means you'll be completing photo challenges, solving clues, and racing against other teams for bragging rights and prizes! 🏆📱

👥 Teams must consist of 4 current 4-H members.
📝 Each team member must also register for the Scavenger Hunt in 4HOnline.

Now is the time to start recruiting your dream team and planning your strategy. Who will be your photographer? Your clue master? Your speedster? 🤔📸
