The August Impact Report is here.

Because of you, 16 fostering families and 5 kinship care families received support throughout the month. That means 60 children in fostering families and 27 children in kinship care were connected to resources, encouragement, and people who care.

87 Dream Boxes made their way to children, bringing a little comfort and joy during seasons that can feel anything but ordinary.

And while some of our numbers looked different this month, the impact didn’t stop there. August brought opportunities for families to connect, children to be encouraged, and our community to show up in meaningful ways.

Behind every number is a child. A family. A need that was met. A reminder that they are seen, valued, and not alone.

That is what your support makes possible.

Tomorrow is the day!

The Knights of Columbus Pickleball Tournament kicks off tomorrow and continues Sunday, all benefiting The Isaiah 1:17 Project.

If you've been meaning to sign up, this is your reminder.

We are incredibly thankful to the Knights of Columbus and everyone who has worked to make this weekend happen. Now we're ready to get out there, have some fun, and see who comes out on top.

There's still time to join us. Online sales have closed, but in-person sales will still be active until 1 hour before each competition begins.

Thankful Thursday

We are so thankful for Jamie Carr and the time, heart, and energy she has poured into The Isaiah 1:17 Project!

Jamie is the owner and operator of Discovery Junction in Princeton, where she brings her background in Early Childhood Education and her heart for children into the work she does every day. She is also CPR, First Aid, and AED certified.

Recently, Jamie chose to step even deeper into serving children and families by completing an internship with The Isaiah 1:17 Project.

And she jumped ALL in.

Jamie worked incredibly hard during Ready Set Backpack, participated in TBRI training, helped with some really important work behind the scenes, and spent time learning more about the realities facing children and families impacted by foster and kinship care.

What we especially loved was watching her become immersed in the heart behind what we do. Because serving families well is about so much more than providing things. It is about understanding trauma, building relationships, protecting dignity, and making sure children and families know they are loved, seen, heard, and valued.

For a small business owner to step away from her own responsibilities and invest this kind of time into learning and serving our community is significant.

Jamie, thank you for bringing your experience, your willingness to learn, and your heart for kids to serve alongside us!
We are grateful for every hour you spent with us and for the work you are doing for children right here in our community through Discovery Junction.

We can't wait to see where you take everything you've learned!

Meet Isabelle.

Isabelle joined us through Work-Based Learning and will be spending at least through December learning and working alongside our team.

She has already jumped right in and has been working hard on some of the exciting things happening behind the scenes. But her experience with us goes much deeper than sorting and organizing. Isabelle is also getting an opportunity to learn more about the social work side of what we do and see firsthand how we come alongside children and families.

That's something we really value about Work-Based Learning.

Yes, we have work to do, but there is also a student standing in front of us with gifts to develop, things to learn, and a future ahead of her. We want her time with us to be an opportunity for her to grow, too.

We are so glad to have Isabelle with us and look forward to welcoming several more Work-Based Learning students as this opportunity grows.

You'll definitely be seeing more of her around our office.

We're hosting a pajama drive!

We are currently accepting donations for the Isaiah 1:17 Project, a local program responsible for meeting the needs of children awaiting fostering families, and supporting them in many stages of care.

They request new items only (with tags), and we'll be accepting all sizes from preemie to adult.

We will be taking items until September 21st. Please reach out with any questions!
