At the May meeting, Master Gardener Lisa Walton presented a powerpoint slideshow "6 P's for Perfect Roses". The 6 P's are Place, Pick, Plant, Provide, Pest and Prune. Lisa discussed the importance of all. For example when considering what to "Pick", you have to consider color, type of rose, fragrance, disease resistant, with or without thorns, cold tolerance. Lisa suggested
turning to the American Rose Society, The Philadelphia Rose Society and Helpmefind.com/rose if you would like help growing roses.
