We are currently raising funds to establish “Bethlehem Home Printing Solutions”, which will be a community-based print and digital services center providing affordable printing, ID photos, and internet services. At Straw to Bread, we value the use of intellectual knowledge and research activity in order to make our service as useful as possible and our stewardship of funds as responsible as possible. You might have heard of our project “Raise the Roof,” in which we fund local masons to add chimneys and windows to houses in order to better support the use of indoor cooking fires with less air pollution to the household. Our work doesn’t stop there! We are currently researching options for indoor cooking stoves that would further improve air quality in homes. Our commitment is to continued improvement, so we never stop asking questions and looking for new solutions in order to support our Luo partners. Interested in joining with us?

Hi friends and partners, we just wanted to share with you all that Pastor Habil notified our team that there has been extremely severe flooding across the Plateau (the worst he has seen in 70 years).Two dams were destroyed in the flooding, leading to many casualties. The Kenyans let us know that their most significant need was obtaining food, and we have already had plenty of partners volunteer to meet this need. Please keep the Luo community in your prayers during this time, and if you would like to offer support you can find information and options on our website and in the links below.
