Couldn't have done it without our volunteers! Thank you!

Many thanks to all who attended our Vanished Indianapolis program and local history exhibit last night! Author Ed Fujawa was entertaining and very interested in our community. Thanks to the Flora-Monroe Township Public Library for bringing Ed to Flora and providing pizza! Pictured is Keith Flora standing next to Ira Flora's toolbox. Ira was his grandfather and a prolific carpenter and contractor with too many local buildings, houses, and barns to count to his name. Ira was a grandson of John and Sarah Flora, the founders of our town. Keith donated the tool box to the Depot Museum.

Pretty cool!

Many thanks to Curt Hufty (Collisions Unlimited, Inc.) and Terry Cossairt for refinishing the outdoor bench at the Depot. It's back in place just in time for Spring and Summer. Walk up, sit a spell, watch the traffic go by, maybe a train. Plus, there's ALWAYS action in the parking lot!😊

This bench matches the interior benches at the Depot. It was found in the old lodge building at the corner of N. Center and Walnut. There is a section of flooring and some original light fixtures from the lodge building inside the depot. Just another way to preserve Flora's history.
