The results are in, and our hearts are incredibly full!

Thanks to your overwhelming generosity, Camp Horizon has officially finalized our 2026 Kid’s Camp Scholarships. Because of the additional donations that poured in this year, we are thrilled to announce that TEN incredible children have been awarded full camp scholarships!

Every extra dollar you gave directly translated into a camp story, a new friendship, and a life-changing adventure for a child who otherwise couldn't attend.

To our donors: you didn't just give money; you gave opportunity, community, and joy. Thank you for making a difference.. 😍

Since 2019, Camp Horizon has been on a mission to make sure every child gets the chance to experience summer camp, regardless of their financial situation.

Because of your incredible generosity, we’ve helped 59 children and youth workers attend a life-changing week at Kid’s Kamps over the last few years.

This year, we’re keeping that momentum going! We are so excited to announce that we’ll be sending 7 more campers to Kid’s Kamps this season. That’s 66 lives impacted by your support since we started this journey.

Speak the Word

Camp Horizon believes strongly in mentoring. It is our dream that once the Camp is fully built it will be filled with children, youth, and young people learning God's Word and leadership skills. Introducing licensed minister Kim McCool a young person that we poured the Word of God into.

As a pastors wife and a licensed minister myself I can look back in my life to intersections where I could have gone another way.
One major intersection was in my pr***en years when I was introduced to Bible Quizzing. I had no idea what Bible Quizzing was and in truth I never even hit the buzzer the entire time I quizzed!! I was so shy and intimidated that the thought of speaking in the mic was terrifying, but I learned the verses anyways.
I remember one particular quiz practice when my coaches, Alicia Cowman-Groff and Anita Smith impressed me so much it has stayed with me for over 30 years. They were talking about the Word and how important it is. That it is life changing and that no one can take what you have planted in your heart. They may take your Bible but they can never steal the Word in your heart.
I can say that that teaching has kept me many times. Not that the Word cannot be stolen but because I chose to hide the Word in my heart I made choices that saved my life. Kids and young people today need mentors that will speak truth into their lives. At times parents voices can become muffled and blend in with the daily routine but an outside voice can speak and they will receive it.
Because the principle of loving the Word was implanted in me, I yearly read the Bible through and have for many years. My children were Bible Quizzers and my prayer is that my grandchildren will be as well. The words of a mentor changed not just my destiny but the destiny of generations.
