May is AAPI Heritage month! For this month, we are highlighting the contributions of AAPI equestrians, and spotlighting Taara Thukral!!! Here’s what she had to say:

“Hi, my name is Taara, and I am a second generation Asian American. I have been riding at FMF for almost 5 years now and have enjoyed every second of it. Ever since I started riding, FMF has been a very supportive and friendly community and I’ve had so many opportunities to grow during my time here. It is such a privilege to be able to do this sport coming from a long line of immigrants who have worked for opportunities like these. As an AAPI rider, what’s common between my heritage and what I value most in riding is the sense of community! In a lot of Asian cultures, community is such an important part of life and as an Asian American I have found the same community at FMF!“
