Botetourt County 4-H

Botetourt County 4-H Botetourt County 4-H is open to all youth ages 9 - 19. We offer programming opportunities to elementary, middle, and high school students.

With a motto of "To Make The Best Better", and a "Learn By Doing" attitude 4-H offers leadership and life skills development through hands-on activities in a multitude of project disciplines. Currently, Botetourt County 4-H has a variety of active community/special interest clubs, as well as an active presence in our county's public schools. We’d like to congratulate our ✌️ newest Botetourt County 4-H All Stars, Mike Wolfe and Jaiden Ayers! They were tapped this afternoon as a part of 4-H Congress at Virginia Tech

Mr. Wolfe has been a dedicated volunteer for approximately 20 years! His service extends across our 4-H Shooting Education and 4-Honey clubs, as well as other volunteer endeavors. He serves on the state 4-H shotgun training team as a level 2 instructor trainer.

Jaiden is a longtime member of our 4-H Horse and Pony Club, with several years of participation in the state 4-H horse show, as well horse judging and hippology contests, and has held numerous club leadership positions.

We’ve had a great first day of orientation activities, introduction to camp classes, and now our first of three campfires for the week.

Campers will be making their ways back to their lodges shortly, to settle down for the evening.

We will be sharing photos of the week starting tomorrow with the first full day of classes. The weather was fantastic and lots of fun is being had. Check back tomorrow for more updates!!
