Saving Sammy, Missouri and Kansas. Day #4.

Looking for a little extra magic this Halloween? Meet Sammy, our sleek and spirited black cat who is ready to cast a spell on your heart! He is available for adoption at the League for Animal Protection in Fincastle, Virginia.

Sammy also wants you to know about his buddies, Missouri and Kansas! Together, this trio is the ultimate package of purrs, playfulness, and unconditional love.

All three are up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and ready to find their forever home together or paired up!

Saving Missouri, Sammy and Kansas. Day #3.

Meet Missouri, a gorgeous three year old black cat who has been waiting for her forever family at the League for Animal Protection shelter, in Fincastle, VA, since August 2024! Despite being there for quite a while, she is a lovebug who lives for affection, chin scratches, and cozy snuggles.

While Missouri is more than ready to be your one and only, she shares space with a couple of other wonderful black cats, Sammy and Kansas, who are also looking for a home. They can be adopted separately, but if you’re looking to double (or triple!) your feline family, they get along wonderfully and would love to stick together too!

Black cats are known for bringing extra luck, so bring luck, along with joy, to your home by adopting today! Please share and help these cats find a home.

Saving Missouri, Sammy and Kansas. Day #2.

Missouri wants to remind everyone that black cats are absolute sweethearts and the ultimate experts in snuggles! 🖤🐾

Missouri, Sammy and Kansas have been waiting at the shelter for well over two years, dreaming of the day they finally get to trade the shelter for a cozy couch. Whoever started the myth about bad luck clearly never experienced the magic of a black cat!

Missouri and her friends are ready to show a family what true love is. Who's ready to bring home a lifetime of good luck? They are all available for adoption (they do not have to be adopted together!) at the League for Animal Protection in Fincastle, Virginia.

Double, bubble, toil, and trouble... are you ready for Two Wives. Saving Lives. Save #37? 🐈‍⬛ 🐾

Meet the League for Animal Protection’s three gorgeous, black cats who have been calling the shelter home for 2-3 years now: Kansas, Sammy and Missouri. They are very sweet and completely ready to work their magic on a forever family!

While they might not be immortal like Thackery Binx, in Hocus Pocus, they do have plenty of magic left to share with the right family! Which kitty do you think looks the most like Binx? Drop your thoughts in the comments 👇

If you’re ready to let one of these sweet souls put a spell on your heart, come meet them today at the League for Animal Protection in Fincastle, Virginia.

Rainy days at the shelter can’t slow down Two Wives. Saving Lives. 🐾🌧️ Even with the dreary weather, it was a great day at the League for Animal Protection, in Fincastle, Virginia. We were able to give Sasha some kisses and say our goodbyes because she officially leaves the shelter this week for her brand new home!

We also had a visitor come in and adopt a cat, Lucky! So, the day was fun, however, while hanging out in the cattery, we made a heartbreaking realization…the three black cats have been waiting in the shelter for 2 to 3 years. Since we love Halloween, we will be dedicating our next rescue saves to them. Honestly, we really wish their names were the Sanderson Sisters (although one is a male)! 🖤🎃

Stay tuned tomorrow for Two Wives. Saving Lives. The Halloween Black Cat addition!

The countdown is over! Today is Ginny’s big day. She is officially trading the shelter life for a happily ever after. We couldn't be more thrilled for this sweet girl as she heads to a home full of endless love, cozy laps, and endless treats! Have the best life, Ginny! 💕🐾

Saving Sasha. Day #6.

Sasha. Is. ADOPTED! We had the best time volunteering this afternoon and talking with the Roberts, two truly amazing humans who gave one of our shyest, sweetest shelter pups, Faith, the most incredible home 9–10 years ago.

Sadly, they lost Faith to cancer two months ago. But seeing another sweet soul in need of love, they knew it was time. As soon as they return from vacation, Sasha gets to go home with them!

Full circle moments like this make our hearts so full. Congratulations to Sasha and her new family!

Saving Sasha. Day #5.

It breaks our hearts to see Sasha struggling with the stress of the shelter. Her previous family abandoned her at a boarding facility, so her worry is completely understandable.

When we volunteered at the League for Animal Protection (in Fincastle, Virginia) and spent time with her, we wanted everyone to see the amazing, loving dog she is beneath the stress. With a little patience and the right family, she will thrive. Come meet Sasha and give her the chance she's been missing!

Saving Sasha. Day #4.

Sasha’s absolute favorite thing in the world is a tennis ball, but her biggest dream is finally having someone to throw it for in a real backyard. Let’s change Sasha's story so she can stop playing fetch at the shelter and start playing it at home.

Please share, tag a dog lover, or drop a comment below to send some love her way. We are volunteering at the League for Animal Protection shelter (in Fincastle, VA) this weekend and will be sure to deliver the message to her 🐾💕
