Important Information for Filer Rec Families
We want to provide a few reminders as we begin the season, as our office has been receiving a high volume of calls and messages regarding team assignments, coach contact, schedules, and information that has already been provided.
-Rosters & Coach Contact
Rosters have now been provided to coaches for all open sports. We had a HUGE amount of late registrations this year and ended up needing to create extra teams after the initial wave.
Each coach is responsible for contacting their players and families regarding practices, schedules, and other team information. Coaches are volunteers with their own jobs, families, and schedules, so please allow them reasonable time to reach out. If you have not heard from your coach immediately, please be patient.

We are also receiving a large number of questions about information that has already been communicated to coaches and families.
We understand that information can sometimes be missed, but please take a moment to read through the information provided before calling or messaging the Rec office. We make every effort to communicate important details clearly and in advance. This helps us spend our time addressing questions and issues that have not already been answered.
-Team Requests
We understand that players and parents may have preferences about which team or coach they would like. All requests submitted during registration are considered; however, requests are not guaranteed. Our goal is to create teams that are as fair and balanced as possible. That sometimes means we cannot accommodate every individual request.
Please understand that team assignments are made with the overall league in mind—not simply based on individual preferences.
-Please Respect Business Hours
Our office and staff are also receiving calls and messages as early as 6:00 AM and as late as 10:00 PM.
Filer Rec is a community recreation program, and while we are committed to serving our families and responding to questions, our staff also have school/jobs, families, and personal time outside of the Rec hours.
Please respect our business hours and allow us time to respond. Calls and messages outside of business hours will be returned during normal operating hours.
-We appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and cooperation as we get all of the seasons organized. We are excited to provide these programs for our community and appreciate all of our coaches, volunteers, parents, and players who help make these programs possible.
