When not on stage, he can be seen House Managing at the Paramount. He is VP of FACA and a member of Farmville's Christmas Parade Committee. Meet the director, Randy Risher. Randy has been eager to work on Peter and the Starcatcher since seeing the original production 13 years ago. He did not expect that would mean directing, yet here we are. Randy is incredibly grateful to FCAC and a stellar crew and cast for their countless hours of preparation, endless oceans of hope and kindness, and unshakable trust and willingness to explore the wonder of this timeless tale and the limitless possibilities of theatre and human experience. "The reason birds can fly and we can't is simply that they have faith, for to have faith is to have wings." - J.M. Barrie

A special note from Randy…

“3 shows left! Come hear a play!

To my crew, cast, and the undefinable multitudes who worked on our show: Congratulations on a fantastic Opening Night! 🤩

Crew [Design & Run]: Thank you for jumping in and getting ish done. You've created and run a gorgeous show. Every choice you've made enhances the world of the play beautifully, and often hysterically and absurdly and stupidly... And that's what we wanted! 😉

Shannon, Don, Natasha, Brad, Marketing, Front of House, and those I don't even know about: Thank you for the support. We couldn't have done any of this without you. 😍

Cast: Thank you for trusting me through this process and all of my whackadoo improv exercises. You've created something truly unique together. You've found vibrant characters, depths and peaks of comedy and tragedy, and most importantly the heart of the story and the world we play in. I'm so stinking proud of you and excited for more audiences to see what you've built. 💫

And Kim Grizzard: Thank you for always helping us get the word out. We might not even have audiences to share with without your constant support. 🗞️

"Eventually, of course, we dream other dreams ... We change ... We grow up ... Nothing is forever ... That's the rule ... Everything ends."

"But I don't want it to end."

"This thing we did, against impossible odds - it's what we will always have."

"Yes, I wanted to."

I love you, my Starcatchers 💖

And speaking of Starcatchers, biggest thanks to my little Starcatcher family, Jacob and Eeyore, for the endless love and support ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🤎🖤🩶🤍🩷”

You’ll get to take a magical trip with our amazing cast and meet Thad Aley: Thad is really excited to be a door, a cat, and a bird - all in the same production! Almost beats being Milky White in Into The Woods, almost. This has truly been a fun experience working with such an AMAZING cast, crew, and director. Thanks to my husband and dog for letting me play on stage and rarely being home, LOVE YOU!

Student Artist Spotlight: Kenny

Catch the VIBE.

To celebrate our inaugural VIBE Student Art Show, we are excited to continue a series of student artist spotlights with Kenny.

It is incredible to watch a student discover their passion in real time. Kenny, an upper school student, is relatively new to making art, but he has already established a highly confident visual style in both illustrative work and collage. This cropped view highlights his new love for 3D collage. By providing a formal gallery space for artists of all experience levels, we want to prove to emerging talents like Kenny that what they create truly matters.

Most of you probably already know Mr. Kevin Lee. He is back on stage in a hilarious role playing Mrs. Bumbrake!
“For over four decades, I’ve happily wandered all over the theatre world—onstage, backstage, and everywhere in between. Community theatre is my happy place. When not chasing pirates and lost boys, I’m half owner of Lee & Harrell Real Estate Professionals.” - Kevin Lee

Student Artist Spotlight: Maria

Catch the VIBE.

To celebrate our inaugural VIBE Student Art Show, we are excited to continue a series of student artist spotlights with Maria.

Art has a beautiful way of crossing borders. Today we are highlighting Maria, a foreign exchange student from Spain who has spent a high school year at The Oakwood School jumping into a new culture with incredible kindness, maturity, and creativity. This close-up of her mixed media piece shows her new exploration of mark making, watercolor, and color theory.
