An award recognizes the work. Luke is the reason behind it.

The Luke Roux Foundation carries his name into work that helps protect lives and puts kindness into action. This November, the foundation (Stephen and Carri Roux) will be honored at the Denise D'Ascenzo Foundation's 2026 Human Spirit Awards Dinner.

The connection is kindness: remembering a life through care for others, and inviting a community to take part.

Come celebrate the honorees and support the Denise D'Ascenzo Foundation's work on Saturday, November 7, 6:00-10:30 PM at the Hartford Marriott Downtown.

It's texts like these that keep me going.

Thank you to everyone taking part this October. Every kind act you do for Luke means more than we can say.

This Thursday, October 15, is Luke's birthday. Help us remember him with an act of kindness: thank a mentor, hold a door, check on a friend, then pass on.

If you haven't started yet, it's not too late. There's still time this month to honor Luke: request a Kindness Passport, do 16 acts of kindness in October, and pass it on.

Message us and we'll get a passport to you.

Think of a teacher, coach or mentor who showed up for you. Send them a note today. It can be two sentences.

Luke is my son. He died in 2022 when an impaired driver ran a red light, just days after his graduation.

Above all else, he was kind.

His number was 16, and October is his birthday month.

So this October, we're asking you to complete 16 acts of kindness in his honor. Any mission, Any day. Stamp a seal for each one, until you reach 16.

I miss Luke every minute of every day. That doesn't end when the camera turns off.

And neither does the work.

Through the Luke Roux Foundation, we bring impaired-driving prevention into schools, help people get home safely with rideshare vouchers, and advocate for vehicle technology that can stop impaired driving before it happens.

Our mission is to reduce impaired driving deaths today and eliminate them tomorrow. Because no family should have to know what it feels like to lose their child this way.

I can't bring Luke home. But I'll keep working toward a future where more children make it home to theirs. 💛
