Thank You for Joining Us for Flag Day 2026!

Thank you to everyone who attended our annual Flag Day Ceremony at Farmington Elks Lodge #1986. As America celebrates its 250th anniversary year, it was especially meaningful to come together and honor the Stars and Stripes, the freedoms it represents, and the proud traditions of the Elks.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Farmington Hills Fire Department for serving as our Honor Guard and assisting with the ceremonial retirement of the American flag. Your participation helped make this year's observance truly memorable.

A special thank you also goes to City of Farmington Mayor Joe LaRussa and City of Farmington Hills Mayor Theresa Rich for joining us and helping commemorate this important patriotic tradition.

We would also like to recognize and thank all of the volunteers who worked behind the scenes to plan, organize, set up, and host this event. Your dedication and commitment to our Lodge and community made this special day possible.

Flag Day has deep roots within the Elks organization, dating back more than a century before it became a national observance. We are proud to continue this tradition each year and grateful to everyone who helped make this event a success.

Thank you for supporting Farmington Elks Lodge #1986 and for helping us honor our nation's flag, history, and values.

Flag Day has a long and meaningful history with the Elks. Long before it became a federal observance, the Elks were honoring the American flag and the values it represents.

As America marks its 250th anniversary year, we invite our members, families, friends, and community neighbors to join us for this patriotic tradition.
