The Planning Commissioner Brent Krasner recommended making the City's Comprehensive Plan and Small Area Plan clear that housing is the top priority for any redevelopment of the site while also describing what forms open space might take and detailing protections for the Winter Hill neighborhood. Doing so will help to ensure that later zoning ordinances will be mindful of the concerns the community has raised.

Update: The Quinn project developers informed the Planning Commission that groundbreaking would occur late summer or fall of 2026. The expanded sewage capacity negotiated with Fairfax County allows sewage to be treated at AlexRenew.
