The Planning Commission reviewed the East Broad Street Multimodal Study that proposed reducing the street to single lanes of vehicular traffic to accommodate bike lanes. This is to address road safety issues on this section of E Broad (Route 7).

Zoning code on Virginia Village loosened after receiving developer proposals. The City Council prioritizes flexibility for the developer over citizen concerns about increased heights, reduced setbacks, and minimum parking requirements.
