The Pen Ryn School The Pen Ryn School is a PreK-8th grade private school located in Bucks County, PA. With our small class sizes, it is possible to know each child as a learner.

With our 75+ years of strong traditions and academic distinction you will find that Pen Ryn is a different educational experience. Founded in 1946 the school was originally housed in the Pen Ryn Mansion in Andalusia. Pen Ryn is truly a family; committed to providing the very best educational program. Pen Ryn students are confident, love learning, work hard and care about each other. Our alumni regularly tell us that the foundation they developed here allowed them to confidently move forward in their academic careers. Pen Ryn believes in educating the whole child and works hard to not only teach core academic subjects but acknowledges the importance of art, music, athletics and citizenship. Every aspect of the school day is important and learning occurs everywhere: in classrooms, the hallway, on field trips and even at lunch. At the core of Pen Ryn is the individualized nature of each child’s education. Regular communication is the norm and you will find that everyone at the school has an open door policy, including myself. You know your child best at home and we know them at school. By working together we can create the best possible environment for learning. We invite you to explore our website and learn more about Pen Ryn. Our vision is to work closely with every family so that each student can develop his or her unique gifts in a safe support environment. Of course the website only gives a flavor of the school. We are so grateful to Bridge Educational Foundation and Waste Management (WM) for their continued support of The Pen Ryn School and students throughout Bucks County! 💚

Through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program, Bridge Educational Foundation, with support from WM, Raymond James, and Verizon, is providing $253,450 in scholarship funding to Bucks County families.

These scholarships help make a quality education more accessible and make a meaningful difference for students and their families. We are thankful for the businesses and community partners who invest in education and help provide opportunities for students to thrive.

🌟 Teacher Spotlight: Mrs. VanBuskirk! 🌟

We’re shining the spotlight on Mrs. VanBuskirk, who is celebrating her 7th year at Pen Ryn and is currently our PreK3 Co-Teacher/Assistant! 🍎❤️

Mrs. VanBuskirk has an associate degree in Pastry Arts from Walnut Hill College and previously worked in restaurants and bakeries before having her younger two children. She has always loved being around children, and becoming a teacher was a dream of hers from a young age! 🥰

When she’s not at school, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going on walks with her dog, working out, reading, and, of course, relaxing at the beach! ☀️🐾📚🌊

Pen Ryn Takes on Sciathlon!

Our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders had a great time representing Pen Ryn at last week’s Sciathlon, a science competition hosted at Villa Joseph Marie! Our students put their knowledge, problem-solving skills, and love of science to the test while enjoying the opportunity to compete alongside other schools.

A special congratulations to our 6th and 8th grade students who earned placements! 🏆 We’re proud of every student who participated and represented Pen Ryn with enthusiasm and school spirit. Way to go, everyone! 💙💛

A special shoutout to Ananya Maheshwari, who recently launched Code to the Future through Council Rock High School North’s National English Honor Society!

This creative workshop introduces children ages 9–12 to coding while helping them build their very own interactive stories. Even better, all proceeds benefit the Lower Southampton Library!

We are so proud of Ananya for combining her passion for learning, technology, and community service to make a difference!
