Freestone Cancer Support Group

We are a group that was organized to help people in our county that are dealing with cancer.

A couple years ago a lady in Fairfield was taking radiation treatments for 33 days straight and was traveling every day round trip of 80 miles. We tried to get assistance for gas money and were only able to get a one time a year gas card of $50. It was at this time we decided to detach from the organization we had been working with for 13 years, had raised over E$1,000,000. for this organization and focus on helping those in our community that had no where to turn.

Our next meeting is April 7 at 5:30pm at the River of Life Food Pantry, we would love to see you there.

It’s with heavy heart that I’m writing this post. Our sweet Bettye has gone to her enteral home. Please keep her sweet husband Spain, her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers as they mourn the passing of this beautiful lady. She will definitely be missed by so many people. ❤️‍🩹✝️

We got the news earlier that Mrs. Bettye is back in Fairfield at Fairfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

This very sweet, special, and hardworking woman needs all the prayers she can get. She has been in the hospital and is not doing well. Please take the time to send her and her family your prayers and thoughts. 🙏🏼🤍

We are amazed by the turn out we had last night at our style show. We are truly grateful for the support we have from our community to help us raise awareness and money for the ones who are fighting this awful disease. We wouldn’t be able to do anything we do without y’all. Thank you to all the sponsors, the business/people who donated silent auction items and door prizes. Thank you toBuzz Russell for being our amazing MC last night, we truly appreciate you. 🤍

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing committee members for their endlessly time and effort that they go through to put this together. If it wasnt for this group of people we wouldnt be where we are today.

We raised $16,000 last night!! We are truly blessed and grateful. This money will be used to help more people in our community with their fight against cancer!! 🫶🏼

Thank you to the BETA Club and student council for doing an amazing job at selling pink out shirts this year. They raised $1500 for our group. We appreciate them and the whole community who bought a pink out shirt this year. 🩷
