Both Fairborn packs will at the Fairborn Primary School Cafeteria 6pm this Tuesday September 8th! Kids come play and do some activities with current scouts and other potential new recruits, parents, come get your questions answered!

If you are interested in more information about our pack, come have a chat with our Cubmaster tonight. Wednesday Aug 26, 2026 at 5:45 pm during the free community dinner hosted by our chartered organization, Abiding Christ Lutheran Church located at 326 E Dayton Yellow Springs Rd here in Fairborn.

Can’t come tonight? No problem! Our first day back is September 3rd from 6-7 pm, same location. We invite anyone who is interested to come visit us during any of our September meetings with a special pack meeting on September 24 celebrating America’s 250th. Prospective new scouts!

Please join us for our back to scouts info night! We will enjoying a free dinner provided by our chartered organization on Wednesday, August 26 during their community dinner! Families are encouraged to come and ask questions. We also encourage families to come any Thursday in September to check out how our pack does things to see if we are a good fit for their family!

Here’s some quick in formation for anyone interested!

Who: boys and girls grades K-5 in the Fairborn area, including the base. This includes homeschoolers, kids attending Fairborn Primary and Intermediate schools, and privately schooled children.

What: Scouting is a community first youth organization that teaches children how to be good citizens in their community. There is a religious aspect to the organization as that is the heart of our values, but no one religion is focused on because the scouting community recognizes that every family has their own unique beliefs and values. Families are welcome and encouraged to worship (or not) however they want.

When: Thursdays from 6-7pm September Through May some events during the summer.

Where: Abiding Christ Lutheran Church located at 326 E Dayton Yellow Springs Road in Fairborn, just off Exit 20 on I675.

Why: Because scouting is FUN. This past we have collected food, toys, clothes, shoes, books, toiletries and seeds, participated in the 9/11 memorial, the Air Force marathon, pinewood derby, the 4th of July parade, summer camp, holiday parties, Dayton dragons games, council events and more!

How much: $165 per scout per year plus uniforms, summer camps and occasional field trips, military families get national fees waived.

Today some of our scouts placed flags by veterans’ graves for Memorial Day. As we helped our chartered org rep make sure all of the military graves had the flag holders, we stumbled on a solider of the continental army who was born in 1761 and died in 1861, living to 100 years old. This man, who fought for America‘s right to be an independent country as teen or young adult is such a special find by our scouts for America’s 250th Anniversary. Thank you to John Guppy and to all of the other veterans who have served in America’s military since him that were buried in that cemetery. we honor you this Memorial Day. Thank you for your service! 🫡🪦🇺🇸

Thanks to everyone who participated in Scouting for Food this week! Here’s how much was donated to the Fairborn Fish Food Pantry this morning!

We at Pack 182 collected 680 items totaling 544 pounds of donations.

Troop 162 here in Fairborn, collected 794 items totaling 635 pounds of donations.

Troop 72 here in Fairborn collected 975 items totaling 780 pounds of donations.

Troop 71 of Beavercreek collected 433 items totaling 346 pounds of donations. More may have been donated after 1, but we weren’t there past then.

And Finally, Pack 74 of Beavercreek collected 630 items totaling 504 pounds donated.

These Fairborn and Beavercreek scouts collected a known total of 3,512 donations weighing at 2,809 pounds overall. These kids, ranging in age from 1st grade all the way up through seniors and of course, scout leaders, helped the FISH workers to bring in, sort through and restock all of the donated items.

Thank you to everyone who donated both their extra food and their time today!

Our annual Scouting for Food campaign is taking place this year between March 13th and March 20th, meaning scouts are going to be walking around your neighborhoods in uniform (may or may not be visible due to jackets) posting flyers on your doors!

We will be picking up the food (and any unopened toletries you wish to donate) donated on March 21st at 9am (weather permitting, last year it was 10 because of the rain) and taking it up to the Fairborn Fish Food Pantry.

Please make sure that the donations are clearly marked and visible from the road.

If your donation has not been picked up by Noon on March 21st (because sometimes they get missed on accident!), please reach out to us with your address and we will send someone to pick up your donation.

Thank you Fairborn for once again allowing us to help our community in a big way!
