Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Kateri Tekakwitha, the first Native American saint.

Known as the "Lily of the Mohawks," St. Kateri remained steadfast in her faith despite great hardship, choosing a life of prayer, purity, and deep love for Christ.

May her example inspire us to trust God with courage, remain faithful through every challenge, and grow in holiness each day.

Exciting news from Abode for Children!

Our founder, Tom Rutkoski, was inspired to start Abode for Children after witnessing countless children around the world with no one to care for them. He was deeply committed to Catholic works of charity and the teachings of our Lord, who commanded us to care for widows and orphans.

James 1:27: “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress.”
