Did you know before he became the Man in Black, Johnny Cash wore the uniform? He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1950, served in West Germany intercepting Soviet communications, and left the service as a staff sergeant.

Today, VA is proud to serve Veterans like him who answered the call.

Thank you everyone who came out today to Family Freedom Festival - 4th Annual VFW Post 499 !

We had a great day with Dirty Shirley performing in the afternoon and RedneckRomeo shortest performance ever thanks to Mother nature. Thank you, Dana for taking pictures today.

We had a great turnout for the corn eating contest! Kids and adults! Spextators... please share your pics in the comments.

A few participates on Saturday dunked PA Military Star Nyomin at 2... she'll be back tomorrow at 2 if you didn't get to dunk her.

Dunk the Commander was moved ro Sunday due to weather.

DJ Shawn Peters will be spinning the Oldies, we have Sunday 50/50, basket raffles, quilt raffle, Ninja Slushie Machine and more.

Lots of kids activities, b**r Garden, food trucks, and many vendors.
