Baltimore County Sailing Center The Baltimore County Sailing Center is located in Rocky Point Park on the shore of Hawk Cove. Come get involved!

Baltimore County Sailing Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving the Baltimore region that is dedicated to its mission of bringing people of all ages to the water and inspiring a life-long passion for boating. We sail off of a beautiful beach, protected by Hart Miller Island with easy access to the Chesapeake Bay. Rocky Point park has two boat ramps, fixed and floating docks, multiple

pavilions and playgrounds. The Center has a sailing program for everyone and our goal is to create access to the water and sailing for anyone with the time and interest. We are a vibrant and active community with a large and dedicated group of volunteers that continually work to maintain and grow the center. From March to November the center is in full swing with High School and College racers, Summer camp programs, Special Olympics Training, Adult Lessons, Recreational sailing, Outreach for youth and adults, Open racing, and much more. The Sailing Center has a fleet of over 200 boats, including sailboats, safety and race committee powerboats as well as kayaks, paddle boards and windsurfers.

Join us for Friday Night Sailing, starting this Friday evening, 6/19 through 7/24 (excluding July 3rd) for Open Sailing in Optis, ILCAs/Lasers, 420’s, or kayaks.

This is open to those with sailing experience. Sailors of all ages are welcome, including adults. Non-sailing family members are encouraged to bring a picnic and enjoy the water or rent a kayak to get a closer look!

Arrive between 5pm-6pm. All boats will need to be returned to the beach by 8pm.
*Please note that this is not instructional.
We reserve the right to cancel if sustained winds are over 12mph/10 knots.*

As another high school sailing season comes to a close, we want to celebrate this incredible group of sailors who brought dedication, teamwork, sportsmanship, and so much heart to the water this year. ⛵️💛

It has been such a joy watching these students grow as sailors, teammates, and young adults. We are so proud of all they’ve accomplished both on and off the water, and we can’t wait to see where their next adventures take them.

We want you to enjoy it too! Summer is around the corner. Register your child for an incredible summer experience filled with sailing, fishing, exploring, and time on the water with us. All experience levels are welcome!
