Week after week, our dedicated board members and volunteers selflessly give their time to keep Erie UpLink running and ensure local families have access to the resources they need. From organizing and distributing food throughout the school year to providing school supplies, winter gear, Christmas gifts, and personal care items, their commitment makes a real difference in our community.

We are honored to serve as a trusted resource for families in need, and that mission is only possible because of the generosity of people who support us in so many ways. Whether you volunteer your time, donate a few dollars, contribute supplies, or sponsor a program, every contribution helps us reach more families and provide hope when it is needed most.

To every volunteer, board member, donor, and supporter: thank you for believing in our mission and helping us make a lasting impact in Erie. We are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you! 🙌

Erie UpLink is 100% volunteer run from our Board of Directors to our monthly Tiger Packs prep team and delivery drivers, to those who give their time to donate, sort, transport, package and shelve supplies. At Sunday’s Calvary Food Drive, youth volunteered to package nearly 8,000 food items for transport by another team of volunteers from the church up to our 650 square foot office. Two more volunteer teams served to check expiration dates, count and organize the food for upcoming deliveries, packing events and future needs. 🥫🍪

It’s a simple way to make a big impact for local students this summer. The drive starts May 1st, and we’d love your support!

Local nonprofit Tabitha’s Cookie Jar designs, decorates and packages the most incredible cookies- Erie UpLink is proud to get to give a box of 4 cookies for end-of-year gifts to our treasured volunteers. If the cookies were not so delicious I’d say they are too beautiful to eat. Dawn uses the proceeds from her labor of love to benefit children in Erie and abroad. Check out her amazing creations!

Erie UpLink was honored to be part of the recent celebration for Dash-of-Hope, a non-profit organization started by Justin Carpenter and Courtney Stanesa. Erie UpLink was nominated by Coach Jim Martinez for the impact our organization has on students in the Erie Community. We were so uplifted and encouraged by the inspiring stories of the educators, coaches and students who were part of the awards presentation. What a reminder to live a life of love and purpose. 🎉❤️

The Dash
by Linda Ellis
I read of a man who stood to speak
at the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on the tombstone
from the beginning…to the end.

He noted that first came the date of birth
and spoke the following date with tears,
but he said what mattered most of all
was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time
that they spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved them
know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own,
the cars…the house…the cash.
What matters is how we live and love
and how we spend our dash.

So, think about this long and hard.
Are there things you’d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
that can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough
to consider what’s true and real
and always try to understand
?the way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger
and show appreciation more
and love the people in our lives
like we’ve never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect
and more often wear a smile,
remembering that this special dash
might only last a little while.

?So, when your eulogy is being read,
with your life’s actions to rehash…
would you be proud of the things they say
about how you spent YOUR dash?
