Desk and Derrick Club of Enid

Desk and Derrick Club of Enid The association of Desk and Derrick Clubs (ADDC) is a non-profit organization, formed in 1949 in New Orleans by Inez Awtry Schaeffer.

Initially, four clubs were organized just for women employed in the oil industry. Membership is now open to anyone and has grown to almost 2,500 individuals employed in or affiliated with the petroleum, energy and allied Industries. There are 61 clubs in 7 regions throughout the United States and Canada. Enid is a part of Region VI, comprised of six clubs in Oklahoma and five clubs in Kansas. Our

2011 Region Director is Sharon Hiss from the Great Bend Club. The Desk and Derrick Club of Enid was
chartered on April 1961 and still have one of the original members remaining,
Desdive Milacek. The club currently has 30 members and are actively recruiting new members. An increase in membership only helps our club to achieve our many goals . Fund raising, field trips, future plans and projects are not a lot of work when members work together. The Desk and Derrick Club of Enid was formed by a “new generation” of positive thinkers and doers. Our goal is to better the needs of today’s energy employees with a variety of fun, exciting and educational opportunities.
