Congratulations to our Minors and Majors Baseball teams who will be playing Friday and Saturday night under the lights!

Majors Friday 6/19 Schedule:
7PM Consolation Game: Mets vs. Marlins
9PM Championship Game: Blue Jays vs. Yankees

Minors Saturday 6/20 Schedule:
7PM Consolation Game: Nationals vs. Cubs
9PM Championship Game: Cardinals vs Braves

Friendly reminder to all coaches, spectators, families, and players:

Our league maintains a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior. Please remember that these games are about the kids and providing them with a positive, enjoyable experience. We encourage everyone to cheer enthusiastically, show good sportsmanship, and help create an exciting and supportive atmosphere for all participants.

Any individual displaying inappropriate, disruptive, or unsportsmanlike conduct will be asked to leave the facility. Town officials and local authorities will be present at each game to help ensure a safe and respectful environment.

Let’s finish the season by setting a great example for our players and celebrating their hard work and accomplishments. Thank you for helping make our championship games a fun and positive experience for everyone!

On Saturday June 6th, the Cubs team from our Minors League all wore #6 to honor a 12 year old baseball player from Camden, New Jersey named Xavier Taylor. He suffered a severe head and neck injury on May 26th after being struck by an errant throw during pre-game warmups. He remains in critical condition. Thank you to Coach Anthony and the Cubs for organizing this kind and compassionate gesture and for reminding us what baseball is really about. #6

Spectator Conduct Reminder

We’d like to reiterate a message that was shared during our Opening Day Ceremony for those who were unable to attend.

Our league has a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate spectator behavior. Every person involved in our league—players, coaches, umpires, and volunteers—is learning and growing. This includes our youth umpires, who are stepping up to help make these games possible.

Across the country, youth sports organizations are facing a shortage of umpires, largely because of the treatment they receive from adults on the sidelines. Unfortunately, our local umpire association no longer covers many youth games for this reason. We rely on young umpires who are learning the game while helping our league succeed.

Our players deserve a positive environment where they can learn, compete, and have fun. League rules are designed to teach the game the right way while maintaining a competitive experience for everyone involved.

We ask all spectators to remember that youth sports are about the kids. Please be respectful of players, coaches, umpires, and fellow fans, even when calls or situations don’t go your team’s way. Negative behavior has no place at our fields.

The Town of Elmira generously allows us to use these facilities, and maintaining a positive, respectful atmosphere is essential to ensuring our league can continue to thrive.

Thank you for helping make our ballpark a place where every child can have a great experience.
