2026 Special Olympics Summer Games recap:
Day Three sure was Interesting. Due to severe weather, the last two swimming events and medal awards were cancelled. With this being stated, our swimmers brought home hardware. They all excelled in their events. Departure was delayed due to lightning. Once the shelter-in-place was lifted, Special Olympics Staff did a wonderful job getting everyone safely on the bus.
Lawrence Knights 3v3 Basketball team fought hard with 3 overtime periods to secure Gold.
Lawrence Wolverines 3v3 Basketball fought hard in a tough bracket and secured Silver.
Lawrence Indians 5v5 Basketball played two men down and after 3 days of very competitive games, secured a Silver.
So very proud of each and every one of our amazing Athletes!
All of this could not have been possible without our amazing coaches and volunteers:

It’s time to get back in the game 🍂
Fall Sport sign-ups are live. All athletes interested in Bocce or Volleyball must sign up in order to play. The deadline to sign up is July 15, 2026. If you do Not sign up, you won't be eligible to participate!

Your Health History form in your portal account needs to be updated yearly. Watch for an email from Special Olympics PA. If your portal account was created in June or July 2025, it’s now time to renew it. If you get an email and aren’t sure how to update your Health History or forgot your password, contact Kim Graham at (713) 446-0653. I’ll be happy to explain the renewal process.
Remember, updating this information every year is essential for your participation in the Special Olympics.
