We're excited to announce the official launch of our new Chipmunks Program!

Looking for a fun Pre-K activity for your 4- or 5-year-old? Come learn about our new Chipmunks Program at our Open House this Thursday, 11/5, starting @ 5:30 PM!

Chipmunks is Scouting America’s play-based program where preschoolers and their parents explore, play, and learn together in small groups called Scurries.

Program Highlights:
* Purpose - Builds confidence, curiosity, and community through hands-on play
* Weekly Meetings - 1-hour sessions
* Learning Themes - 8 forest-animal themes that inspire creativity and discovery.
* School Skills - Develops listening, teamwork, motor skills, and curiosity.
* Social Growth - Builds friendship, teamwork, and empathy in a safe setting.
* Recognition - Weekly encouragement builds confidence and independence.
* Family Connection - Simple at-home activities engage parents.
* Experience - A safe, fun place to explore, create, and grow
* Community - Connection with other parents.
Who: All boys and girls in pre-K (ages 4 and 5).
When: Thursday, November 5 at 5:30

Our 96th Birthday is quickly approaching and we’re looking for photos and stories from Troop 28 Alumni. If you have photos or a story you’d like to share drop it in the comments or send them to [email protected].

🚨 HISTORY REWRITTEN! 🚨

We went digging into the archives and uncovered something absolutely massive. 🔍 An official vintage charter handed down to us by former Scoutmaster Pete Benson, combined with old local Ellenville Journal prints from the early 1930's, just completely changed our timeline.

This October, we are officially celebrating 96 YEARS of continuous Scouting by Troop 28 in Ellenville with the Ellenville United Methodist Church and the Rip Van Winkle District, Scouting America! 🥾⛺️

Our official charter lineage dates back to October 1930, meaning we are officially on the road to our Centennial 100-Year Anniversary!
